Alligator gar are everywhere here in Southwest Missouri... I suggest if you want more info about them there's plenty of links online. Missouri has 6 different species of gar and some can get up to 7ft long and can weigh in the vacenity of 100lbs... They're on average about 3ft in my area in the wild... They're kind of a pest when you're fishing for crappie and sunfish cause they'll steal The fish off your line.. HMU if you want more info on them or just look online.. thanks. Also you can look up Bass pro shop in Springfield MO and maybe get info on them cause they have some in they're aquarium there...

Bro where I'm from there so commen when bow fishing we are allowed to shoot 2 a day. There fairly commen in Arkansas I've shot one that was exactly 4 ft long and 22 in around and they might be rare where ur at but there not really really rare besides thats not an alligator. Thats a tropical. The color is different

Alligator gar are rare in florida. Here we only got longnose, florida, and spotted gar and all get no more than 4-5 ft. In Texas on the other hand, alligator gar are every where. But can anyone confirm what gar this is? Does look like an alligator gar but the line on its eye tells me its a florida gar.

It seems like you are more worried about get people to watch your videos and get subscribers you need to listen at people when they keep telling you to get a heater and put some structure in your pond stop buying new fish or catching new fish to put in there without making the environment proper for the fish.I do enjoy some of your videos man but do what's right so all the fish can be happy the redtail catfish would be way more active if the water was warmer.

I hate be the bare of bad news but this is a tropical gar, the snout and coloration is dead giveaway they are very common in the Aquarium hobby and sold as alligator gar because of the flat snout but are not the alligator gar your thinking of(you can only keep a alligator gar if you have a special permit) the alligator gar is a threatened species in Florida and many other states but hey tropical gars are very nice!! You have a good looking fish✌️☮️

In Texas there an invasive fish and a menace to other native fish. The gar are so big in Texas we use to shoot them with 22. Like real alligator then even when the waters were low I'd grab a shotgun and aimed at the head clean and now they don't want us to do it .so we we beat them violently .crazy!

Talking about wet your hands, when you’re irresponsibly acquiring an animal that in a short amount of time you will have no way of caring for properly. Then what, you dump it in some me body of water somewhere and a now captive bred animal, must fend for itself in the wild because you couldn’t care for it or just got bored with it.

Well, throwing live lizards in is just another way you could suggest animal cruelty. Get out of here that,filter is a filtoclear it can filter 8000 gallons of water with out fish and 4000 with fish I only keep about 3000 gallons in there and I do water changes so it doesn’t even matter I have two heaters getting here in two days and if they don’t come in I have an overflow valve and I can pump Raw well water into my pond at an average temperature of 79° I got this man i’ve grown up so much and I have learned so much about my new passion and love for ponds and fishtanks ‘’freshwater fish tanks” let’s get it man

RAWWFishing you really need to start wearing how to spell the right words. You don't spill meet meet. That's when you meet somebody a chunk of meat is meat. And you have quite a few words spelled wrong. Your vocabulary is not that well so evidently that tells me some about your education. Cuz if you can't spell common single English words then there's something wrong. They may be low in some states or some people may say during danger for that state but not all over the the USA. You really need to do some history and facts and there is not a red tail gar either I don't know who told you that but there is no such thing as a redtail gar. Does redtail catfish that they're compatible with to be in the same area which is different it's a catfish not a gar. I grew up hunting trapping and fishing plus also in the house I lived in we had 23 aquariums at our house. I still have aquariums nowadays benefits fanatic on my life study them research them and everything else tropical and freshwater. So believe me I know what I'm talking about even look at my profile picture what's 100 lb Stingray on it. I know what I fish for and what type of fish are and I will put my knowledge to the test fresh and saltwater and Aquarium. $500 on the table not a problem. I'll take the challenge. And for me to take the challenge and be that confident, that should say something.

Raw fishing. You're wrong about the fish. That fish is not going to get that big and to be honest with you , that is a tropical garden not an alligator gar. Two totally different type of fish are there in a gar family but they are different and it won't even get a third of that size. In the wild they may get two or three feet but that's about it if they make it that long that's why they're for aquariums because they're small and they won't get that big they can all growing like any other tropical fish but they're not going to get as big as an alligator gar because it can't cuz it's not one.

sergio sanchez they are all over Texas here yes they are becoming less and less but there's still a lot of them. I fish for him here where I'm at in Pasadena Texas. In the bayous in the lakes rivers Retention Ponds. All of them have a lot of alligator gar in them cuz I catch him. And I've hooked them as big as freaking Russian submarines. The Trinity River has monsters but the one that he has is not going to get that pic it won't even get half that size. That is a tropical guard not an alligator gar not a longnose gar it's a tropical car. The snout is not right for an alligator gar. I guarantee you come down here I'll show you car all day long and you'll see and be amazed that there is not a shortage of them and I've got pictures of them too.

sergio sanchez as you can tell by my profile picture I'm a huge fisherman. What he has is not an alligator gar. That is a tropical gar they're different type of gar and they don't get that big. They sell them off is alligator gar for whatever reason. But they are not alligator gar. I've caught many of them and I'm a huge fish Enthusiast along with aquariums and stuff like that. Ive had them all my life. no just tropical fish but saltwater fish and what he has is a tropical gar. The color is wrong and the patterns are wrong and on top of it to snout is different from an alligator gar.

They are common in this hobby kid. I have 6 gar now. I've had 22 all together. I know about monsters. I have arowana. I've got shovel nose cats. Giant Raphael's. Clown knifes. 6 different Bichirs. They have just been hunted to the point to where they are classified in the wild "extinct". They are abundant and only $14-$22 online. Not rare in a collective aspect

They don't even have a Status according to U.S. Wildlife as a whole and FWC as of 2006 "protects" them. In FLA you need a permit to take ne from the wild. They ARE NOT rare !! Like most other FLA fish, FWC is protecting the species because of all the exotic fish that have been introduced over the years.

They want the koi back easily. what place else is better than a pond they found where the water temps will help the fish, theres plenty of cover, they can easily get the fish back, and the only fish in the pond are cichlids and a small population of peacocks. Keeping fish in outdoor ponds and fish in indoor tanks is different bro. Which is y zac was trying to help and give tips to him. The larger bodies of water that exotics live in are warmer than the backyard ponds that people keep them in. which is y people need heaters. u don't need to run them 24/7. ur like finding every little thing trying to defend raww. When the main point was that he needed a heater to help the koi heal faster and to help the red tail eat, feel comfortable, color up, and boost its metabolism.

Well you’re choice to write a so called book I’m just backing up my reasons and to be honest I rather have the fish in a bigger area and if that’s the cause if you worried about it getting attack by aggressive animals then why aren’t you point the fact that they released it in a Different Pond in the wild where animals can attack it and yes Zac has released fish he has caught if you actually watch if videos you would know and just cause raw Doesn’t have experience with a pond doesn’t mean he does not have experience with fish you can have a fish in the aquarium in an still have experience don’t you think and also before I let you go if you didn’t want to have an argument on a fish that’s not your (ours) then why did you take the time to comment? im talking about about other animals that are aggressive and will nip at the koi not kill it, which is exactly what happened in the first place. Would u rather take ur chances trying to keep a koi in a large pond and trying to feed it in one area not knowing for sure if it'll come back, or release it into a small clear pond where u can easily get the fish back. I don't think zac has caught any of the fish he released back. Yes rawwfishing doesn't have as much experience. He's fairly new to pool ponds I believe( I think zac says something about telling rawwfishing to build a pond and do youtube on a regular upload basis). That is why zac has been helping out and suggesting what to do. you can also hear rawwfishing say " Is that not healing?" when zac transferred the koi, which indicates he didn't notice the koi's progression with healing its tail. I never said u needed pellets, I'm just saying that zac doesn't feed his fish bread on a regular basis and feeds them pellets. The fact is that the koi wasn't doing that good in the pond, so a transfer to a different pond was made. Nothing we can do about it, the past is the past. I'm not gonna sit here and write a whole book and argue about a fish that isn't even ours. Hopefully the redtail does better and we see eat actively, cause red tails are tropical fish and need warmer water especially with the winter approaching.

When you say predators do mean like alligators cause nothing in that pond will eat a 3 maybe 3 1/2 foot Koi and also if you feed it in one spot the likelihood of it staying in that one spot is good that’s why when and if you ever go to a pond turtles and other fish will come over where you are feeding them and what makes you think Raw doesn’t have any more experience in keeping fish? Just cause he didn’t have a heater that’s kinda harsh if you think about it and you don’t need to feed pellets for Kois (I’m only saying this cause I’m pretty experience with Kois more then anything) You can feed them watermelon, Oranges, Lettuce (I give mine the head of the Lettuce) Shrimp, even small Fish, and Rice that’s really all very good Diet for a Koi maybe for the rest of the fish in either one of their pond

yeah I read it wrong, but Zac has more experience with pet fish and could see that the koi wasn't doing good in rawwfishing's pond. he doesn't feed the koi in his pool pond bread, its the cichlids in the pond below the pool pond. but even then he feeds those guys pellets as their main diet. That pond behind zac's house is big and they won't be able to check on the fish often, plus their are a lot of predator fish in that pond. I think thats the reason they didn't want to take it there. I also think once healthy they might want to catch the koi again. Im not disagreeing with u saying that bread is good, cause it is indeed bad for them.

I think you have reading Problems I didn’t say anywhere in my paragraph accusing you saying that Zac has never feed his fish Bread so go back and read before you type also even if he did he still has Kois in his kiddie pool pond also it’s not just Kois that have problems with digesting Bread (specially the white bread) cause there’s a harmful chemical in the bread that’s why it’s bad for the immune System (in fish regarding The Species) and just cause most youtubers are dumb and feed there fish Bread cause they are to poor to buy actually fish food doesn’t mean there is one or two or whatever number that don’t and actually feed them base off of there True diet and I have a feeling they will forget about the fish on a week (Maybe in a shorter period who knows) [Edit] and Zac literally has a pond right behind his house why didn’t he just put in in that one so he could have a better eye on it (Just a thought)

No where did I say that catch em all doesn’t feed some fish bread. He feeds the fish in the little pond bread sometimes, but he feeds them pellets in both ponds on a consistent basis as their main diet(excluding the bass and redtail). I said guarantee as in “I bet u he fed the koi bread”. It seems that all the youtubers in south Florida use bread often. Catch em all was going to put it in the pond at first but he stated that there are too many fish in his pond that would go after the injured Koi’s fins which would stress the fish even more. In my opinion catch em all’s pond is also over stocked already.

Are you half hypocrite or something you literally said the last comment you post saying that RawFishing [edit] Guarantee feed the Koi Bread all the time right after I told you that it is Bad for their Immune System and also how he had to release some of his fish when Zac has to do the same thing at times but yet you only pointed out RawFishing (That’s Hating right there) and Good to know but here is my real question if Zac cared enough about the Koi getting better (which clearly he does if he since he’s Salty about the situation and most likely forcefully taking the Koi out of Raw’s Pond) why did he release it in a wild Pond and where people can take it when he already has a Pond with Kois in it and Kois are happier when they are around other Kois and he could Nurse it back to somewhat better health

Im actually interested in watching thats why I'm subscribed. I'm not hating I'm pointing out some flaws. As he has said this pond will be a journey and learning process. Fish get stressed and show signs of stress, thats how a lot of fish keepers see that they need to change something. Theres a reason why that red tail is light in color and doesn't eat right away, but now he has a heater and we'll see if the retail's behavior changes. When a fish is stressed they won't produce a effective slime coat which leaves the fish vulnerable to disease and infection to wounded areas like the koi's tail.

Stop making excuses to hate on someone if you don’t like it don’t watch simple as that.. and you don’t know what and if they are feeding the fish bread all the time I can say that Joey and Zac feed the fish Bread off camera all the time (see how stupid it sounds) also Zac has fish that had to be release so why can’t Rawfishing do the same? And how does a fish specially a cold Blooded animal look happy it doesn’t have emotional traits it isn’t a Person that’s like saying my Snake looks happy I’m opening the cage to hold him

The fact is that the fish don't look happy in Rawwfishings pond. Glad that he got a heater tho and hope to see that change soon. He's already had previous fish that had to be released like the first big bass and the many peacocks. It isn't Joey's pond which is why catch em all said that if you're going to take the koi out of the pond atleast be respectful and allow it to heal. Guarantee you that rawwfishing was feeding the koi bread. Joey isn't going everyday to feed the koi like a legit pet anyway

Well that my be true but anyone can say something to not get negative feedback and he put it (the Koi) in a pond and said it’s joeys you don’t know if it’s Joeys actual pond it could just be a pond in his area that someone can just Willy nilly go to and yes I’m aware that heat helps with healing not disagreeing on that [Edit] and I watched joeys video just now and he’s feeding the Koi Bread which is a Very Big NO NO Kois can’t not Digest Bread and Bread matter or Fact is really bad for Kois so he’s (Not trying to be harsh) he’s in Reality doing harm to the fish by doing that

I know that koi don't require heaters, they're part of the carp family. Zac also stated that the fish don't look happy in that pond (which is true from what we can see). A heater would help fix that. There's a reason why the redtail isn't eating how they do normally. Plus Zac gave it to him to nurse it, and it stayed in one place looking stressed. If you go check zac's and Joey slay em's vids, you can see the koi is actually swimming around in the new pond. In zac's vid he shows the koi's tail and it isn't improving when he first takes it out of rawwfishings pond, and in Joey slay em's vid he shows the koi swimming and says that the koi's tail is improving. The heater isn't needed for the koi in general, but to help the recovery and nursing process to make the fish comfortable and heal the tail.

I’m aware but he also has (well he did have lol) a Koi which doesn’t need a heater at all cause they are from a cold climate (Japan) they can even survive in waters with Ice on the surface and be completely fine but the funny thing is Zac took the Koi which is meant for Cold water (and he said they need a heater which is false) but keep the red tail (which does need one) .... think about it

DaSleepyDino lmao I live in Florida also and winter in Florida is still in the 70-80 haha which In that case the water will be around 50 which is fine for fish also The fish that he has are native to Florida except for the Koi which (Kois are fine when water temperature is at 50 it’s just when water is below 50 you need to worry) and they are also in a pool which will attract heat also it depends on which part of Florida cause not all of Florida has the same weather types and where did I say anywhere that water temp and the air temp is the same
