Taking a wild guess an assuming this video isn't filmed in South America. That Pleco is an invasive species to the US, you should't have released the fish, rather let die out of water/kill it. Call your game commission/DNR to let them know that you found one in the future.

I just caught one today!!! It's called a armour catfish and they eat algae... they actally are know to dig holes in lake and other stuff like that and lay there eggs in there... look it up and you'll be right instead of wrong lol if it did not make no sence!

In the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago which is located in the West Indies Caribbean we have those. The home name is known as mamateta or teta. In the US its known as pleco fish. We curry them here in Trinidad its quite delicious. We also curry the brown hoplo fish.

I always like how people claim all bottom feeding fish are bad eating, (carp, catfish, plecos, ect) All which are wildly eaten around the world outside the US. Yet we are happy eat shellfish, crabs, and shrimp, that are basically the garbage disposals of their food chain and no different then this fish.
