+Catch Em All Fishing Hey Zack! Love the channel!! I just wanted to say that im a very out of the box thinker and to be completely honest I believe that this was actually a great idea and a fairly cheap way to build a pond. The only suggestion I have is that the bricks from each level above the next need to be placed so that you connect each of the two bricks below it. I noticed that you simply more or less connected each of the walls in afew spots. If you layer it in such a way as I stated above, I believe that it will be not only sturdy enough to support the pond, but also one of the most badass pond builds Ive ever seen! Hope you give it another try and possibly make these adjustments.

The Lego pond would've had more stability if crossed them onto each other. If you don't know what I mean, go find a brick wall and look at it. The way the bricks overlap each other add more stability and makes it look a whole lot better.

even an amateur Lego builder can tell you that design was flawed from the start... next time stagger the blocks like a brick wall... look up brick layer videos if you have too. and i suggest doing it on a soft surface so the blocks have something to sink into and grab on that way they wont be able to slide out of place and cause a bow which in turn causes spillage.

Dont get me wrong, but I "feel" like all these weird pond builds you've done after AquaScape hooked you up is kinda disrespectful. Their bread and butter is from ponds, not gimmicks. I do love most of your videos, but I really love collabs. Keep having fun with videos, but please stop flex seal/lego pond type stuff. You're better than that. Please, don't hate on me for expressing my opinion. Like I said I'm a fan and a real fan will tell you when you are trippin.

Even if you stager the blocks this design of block does not have the locking power to stick together. The bricks are designed for children to build and take apart. If you do this again you need the equivalent of mortar, some form a glue to lock it together like liquid nails.

Lego's needed to be interlocked better you had to many the same size stacked straight. You needed to off set them like a brick house is built. and it will be strong enough.

HEY Zac, I am 16. I am from Minnesota , I am kinda obsessed with fish and fishing I have been watching your videos for years and I just want to say keep it up, you put out great videos and point out many helpful things for people that want to get into fish keeping or fishing. I actually want to move to Florida for a few years or at least visit and just fish. I have a few tanks at home and I also have a giant pond, I had it stocked with giant sunfish, large mouth bass, northern pike, carp also many many turtles and once had many clams, crayfish. but where i live everything is covered in snow right now and my pump that used to keep my pond oxygenated went out when the ground was frozen, so there is not going to be much left... its a shame and very very sad but I am planning on filling it with predatory fish when i get a new sump pump installed. Is there any way I could show you my fish? I think you would be amazed.

Use the legos, but use liquid nail to glue it together to reinforce the walls and ,glue a bottom to it so the sides don't buckle. You could also glue the liner to it. You could also use the flex seal spay to adhere the liner. Still pretty awesome idea.

I think this will work if you use superglue but it has to be on each block until you just have 4 lego walls
Kevyn Gonzalez
Kevyn Gonzalez - 5 years ago
Can't you use a glue gun to connect the Legos? Then they won't break apart every time you try to move it. And it would make it easier to move it with water inside

I believe he's saying a small hole just to perfectly fit the Legos for extra support maybe like two layers would be below the ground and you can see the rest of the day goes above

The legos are a great idea, but you should use some big tie down straps that will go all the way around the pond for added support. Or something similar to that. An catch em all!!!!!!

It would work fine if you build it right stagger the blocks as if building a brick wall and the stress will be distributed more evenly

You should put together spray on tape flex and legos to make a stonger pond. If it isnt as tall and and seal it with the spray it could be stronger and hold up

If you can’t lay bricks correctly, you fish. That corner was only being held by two bricks overlapping edges. With proper staggering of bricks it would be around 14. With 4 interlocking pegs per overlapping edge the failed corner had 8. A properly done corner would have around 56. No flex seal required.
