this tank is made for a beta fish. to small for a crayfish,.. you will find that he will be even more expensive when you get him a larger tank. 20 gallon should be minimum. 1$ per gallon at petco.. lids about 24 for a glass top. crawfish prefer sand. 1 led light on one side of tank.. they like to be in shadow areas. if he can not climb out of water you need to get a air bubbles. sorry, but this was a dream home failure.

I Have an electric blue crayfish and you need a minimum of 10 gallons and plenty of hiding space they also like to dig and also you need dry land for the crayfish they like that lots and need 5inch deep water (can drown need air in water) this is from 1 hr of research and I guess you dont seem to care to research or read comments....smh

This is the same problem I see with turtles. People think "oh a little small tank will be fine." They need way more room. A small tank stresses the animal out. They need swimming room and room to grow. Atleast a 15 gallon but I'd much rather prefer a 20 gallon and above for crayfish. Same goes for small turtles 20 gallon or above.

One of the worst parts is when he was confused why the crayfish wasn't eating. It's because:
1) You just shocked him. Acclimate fish please!
2) Tank is too small! It's smaller than his HOLDING BUCKET! He's more concerned with escaping than eating
3) Never feed fish right after they move in because they're stressed. You risk stomach problems.
4) He's too small to be eating that huge fish. Chop it up for him or feed him shrimp pellets and veggie wafers
5) GET A BIGGER TANK PLEASE
