Nice to finally see warmer weather ( mind you it's like 40 degrees here in Connecticut lol I'm a little jealous lol) and you finally fishing again and with your girl! We don't have peacocks up here but lots of large and small mouthed bass, different trout species and northern pike! I actually have brown trout in the little stream behind my house but I don't catch them, they're like my wild pets now lol but I was wondering why you aren't going to out the Gar in your pool pond? Glad it's gonna go to Blakes but would love to see the Gar go into your pond once he's larger! Again, glad to see some fishing videos finally! Keep up the awesome work!

Jaybro 100 they grow pretty quickly but it also depends on what size tank you gave and how many other fish there are in the tank. The smaller the rank the slower they will grow. I had a 150 gallon tank with just the huge Oscar and a huge Pleco so they had a lot of room to grow. It also depends on which species of goldfish you had as well. some don't get as large as others but feeder goldfish, rosy reds, comets, etc can grow pretty big and they grow quickly. If you watch Paul Cuffaro, then just watch MiniMu that's in the small pond and you'll see how big they can grow or even just search goldfish pictures and you'll see. it's crazy how big they get and like I said, most people don't realize it until all of a sudden, they're tiny goldfish in a goldfish bowls gets ginormous and they don't know what to do with them lol

Jaybro 100 That's why it's such a bad idea for parents to get their kids goldfish as pets cause they quickly outgrow their little goldfish bowls and that's why so many goldfish get flushed down the toilet or released cause people just get pets without knowing or researching the pet and then the pet suffers. It's such a shame. Always research the pet you're thinking of getting for you, a friend or family member/ child. You're better off getting a Betta fish honestly.

Jaybro 100 the problem with that is if you add too many to the pond, the fish don't all get eaten and will grow huge. people don't realize how big goldfish actually get. When I was younger I had a large tiger Oscar and he would eat goldfish, minnows, June bugs, lizards, mainly anything you would put in the tank and he would eat outta my hand but one time I added too many or he just didn't want to eat 3 certain goldfish and I left them figuring he would eat em and he never did and they got just as long as him. They were easily a foot long when me and my father decided to release them into a small decent sized pond down the street. We released 5-6 foot long goldfish and even tho we are in a colder climate they all survived or most did and started to reproduce and the pond to this day has a decent goldfish population. Believe it or not, goldfish are really hardy. They get almost as big as Kois and a lot of people can't tell the difference when there are Koi and goldfish in the same pond because they get so big.

Colton Yelverton Not a problem and I'm glad you liked the fact I dug up lol. I figured a fact for a fact! But I've never heard of a skipjack but it seems like you have a few more "colorful" fish than us lol ( I use "colorful" loosely there!) but you're a lot warmer than us and Florida had us both beaten on that front! But glad to hear that you're a fisherman too, we'll I'm a Fisherwoman I guess lol but keep up the fact corrections cause I love to learn anything and everything! Plus it helps to dispel any rumors or accidental misinformation that people give out! And whi knows, maybe we can start a trend of a fact for a fact!

Colton Yelverton Also, I did find a neat fact that you might not know and I think you might like is that certain Tilapia can be successfully mixed with Armored Catfish ( Plecos) , Tinfoil Barbs, Garpike, and other robust and dangerous fish ( such as other Cichlids ). That I thought was a pretty neat fact that I'm sure a lot of folks don't know, I sure didn't! But thanks again for that fish species fact catch!

Colton Yelverton you know I believe you are correct. I looked it up because I was curious and I love learning new info even if it's useless lol, but I'm from Connecticut and we don't have fish like Tilapia or Peacock Bass due to our colder climate but I love watching all these guys down in Florida go fishing and constantly see them catch or use Tilapia and know there are a lot of different species of them and hear a lot of them catch blue Tilapia and have heard a few talk about "green" Tilapia. So of course I searched and couldn't find "green" Tilapia as a species but there are a few that are greenish but not called green and not around Florida, but they don't technically look like that certain one. The Green Severum definitely looks correct tho. Good correction!

Cam Aquatics Same as I told the other kid, that's never a good idea to put in more food then the fish can eat because some will be left uneaten and blue gills like goldfish grow rather quickly and grow larger than most people realize. Then you're left with giant blue gills or goldfish that end up getting released or flushed. You never want to overfeed a fish like that cause the fish just can't eat them all.

Ivan Sanchez I personally don't like peacocks and think they're a little overrated now especially in ponds and pool ponds. But I'd love to see a new or rather different species of fish to go in the pond that no one really has. Even a different gar species or African Arrow or even an Aripiama!
