Arowana typically stay in the top water column. When you put those feeders in the tank, they flee to the bottom which is causing your fish to look down very hard. You can see this clearly in the video. This strains their eyes and can cause drop eye if you do this over an extended period of time. Stick to flakes/pellets that float. Then when the fish is large enough switch to a mixture of cut tilapia/scallops/shrimp.

Just a warning, That Blue cray will eat the Arowana if it gets the chance. Big fish eat Crays, but big Crays eat fish. So it is a risk housing them together. Also give the Blue cray a hide cave.

If you keep making him look down for food his eyes will stay there, it’s called “look down”. Hand feed him from the top of the tank or use floating pellets or his eyes will be stuck looking down... would cost allot to get fixed.

Finucan Family not silver arowana from South America (which are obviously what we’re talking about). Those max at like $400 for a fully grown (breeder sized) fish. Asian arowana (the expensive ones) aren’t even legal to keep in the US because they are endangered (barring zoos and a couple other places). Know what fish you’re talking about, bro

Hey rawwfishing i have a tip for you to to feed ur arowana
1) breed minnows{guppies} for arrow to eat
2) feed it frogs
3) do not let it eat live things everyday its unhealthy
4) try feeding it pellets(for better colour)
5) feed it shrimps(frozen/try tillapia fillets)

Depends on the species but probably about 30 for a silver all the way up to thousands tbh. But keep in mind you will need at least a few hundred gal or a small pond as raw has for when the arrow gets bigger {up to 30 in}

Give it time man hes probably just adjusting. i have had fish take up to a week before they start eating. As long as he is active and not sick then thats probably just him adjusting but. I would take rawwfishing advice and check the water still.

Try to only feed the new little guy fish that stay on the top but they can get down eye which is when there eyes stay looking down and popped out

Try not to feed your fish gold fish from pet stores. They come with problems. like hole in the head is the most common thing they will past on to your fish. When i had my redtail and oscar they caught hole in the head from feeding on gold fish. Get them on hikari food sticks, those are perfect. Also freeze dried red shrimp, that a High protein food and will enhance the color of all your fish, but dont feed the arowana it as a main food. Because its high protein and fat content, it can make the arowana develop fat behind the eye, therefore causing drop eye, which isnt a fatal problem, but it isnt ascetically pleasing.
