you will have to remove the rock with the gsp. they can grow like weed and will take over every thing.
Mine is on an island all by it self. I am also trying to grow it on my over flow, away from other corals.

David G you can try my LFS I'm not sure if they ship or not but it's worth a try just because their QT is amazing. They will train the fish to eat pellets and frozen which is key and will not sell you a fish that unhealthy and or with diseases. Their name is Reef Escape in Fairfax, VA ‭+1 (703) 261-6996‬

DC Reefer I want to buy one where do you suggest getting one from? I've heard they're reef safe and look nice. I don't have any lfs that carry these types of fish maybe online?

Would you suggest keeping nitrates really low vs 5 ppm? As far as you noticed with color and growth do you find that having lower nutrients gives you more better growth and color vs having nitrates at 5ppm? Looks good man thanks

So far what I have noticed with low nutrients (nitrates) below 5 is that the colors are getting better. I really believe 5 or lower you will be good with color too. If at 5 nitrates, I would not be adding any nutrients like aminos or coral food (maybe once every two weeks would be ok). I was only bale to get to under 5 nitrates with Red Sea's NoPox. As soon as I got down to about 5 and below I started to see colors coming back and the water got very clear too. Thanks for watching and the nice comment. PS: I was using an API nitrate test kit that wasnt that good at all and switched to the Red Sea Pro nitrate kit which is perfect. It can read all the way down to 0.25 nitrates.

Thanks Reefgrrl! Good info and looks like I may have to take this route..Ive even thought of taking a blow torch to them and then rinsing the rock before adding it back in. Did you ever try the Kalkwasser paste on yours? That may be another option for me. Thanks again.

Thanks Dave! Good question. The trigger is known to be a big jumper. I also have a Leopard Wrasse that has tried to commit suicide 3 times already (yesterday was one of the times). I've found him on the floor each time and I just pick him up and put him back in. I pulled the trigger today and ordered a BRS net top screen for my tank. It was $45.00 (ouch) but the price of one fish much less two fish will be more expensive than the net top.

You have a beautiful tank Will. I was told by Rico's Reefs that if corals are not staying Green your Phosphate might be too low. He suggested to feed your fish a little more. Usually we all try to keep Phosphate as low as we can but maybe he is on to something. You obviously do not have too much phosphate because your tank looks very clean. Just an FYI on green corals.

Tank looks good. You can get a syringe and needle and inject strong kalkwasser into the GSP to knock it back. I need to do this myself. They will sting and kill other corals.

SPS Dominant Thank you! I started the procedure last night. I'm sure it will be a process of a few days to weeks. If that doesn't work, then I'll have to pull the rock out.

Mi reef Mix Marino I am using NoPox and a biopellet reactor. I'm sure NoPox alone will give you same results. NoPox has been a big help to get to ultra low nitrates.

What's going on Will! Tanks looking good man. I have a 90gal 48x18x24 and I wanted to try the blue throat and flame angel. How are they working out for you and would you suggest one over the other if not both?

GSP is a pain, I have been making sure mine stays away from other coral with a dental scraper. It isn't a very easy job, and it breaks it up a lot, make sure you remove all of the GSP bits so it doesn't propagate elsewhere. Sometimes it peels off a good amount. The tank is looking awesome
