Gilly's Reef Yeah you would have some serious Shadows on the ends, not to bad but you'd need 2, because the AI mounts don't raise it high enough to get more coverage

How long did it take your clowns to host your anemone? Mine are just babies so i'm wondering if they have to become older since they are tank bread. My Clowns have been in the tank for 6 weeks, the RBTA has been in the tank for 4 weeks.

It was a big mess, I even had a pump in there to stir the Kalk, but didnt really help. Im using the BRS 2 part, I like it so far. Have a good one!

I used kalk briefly and found my calcium would get sky-high so I stopped. I was manually dosing by dripping a strong solution using an acclimator overnight. It worked great but was a PITA.

I also got the DP-4 and I really like it. It's been running for about a month now. I use one pump for the top-off in my 29g, delivering 80ml of fresh water 10X per day. For alk, I use Reef Carbonate and put 25ml into 8 litres of the top-off water in the large water container that originally had spring water in it from the grocery store. So my 29 gets about 8-10ml of added carbonate per day. This has been working perfectly, keeping the alk at about 8.3.

The other 3 pumps on the DP-4 are used for calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the 20g nano. I scored some plastic food storage containers on aliexpress for about $8 ea. They are square and stackable, have flat lids, and hold roughly 2 litres of liquid each. So they are perfect for dosing.

I had my doubts about dosing but I'm a convert because it seems to be helping keep things stable and I can keep the water changes smaller. I guess we all find what works for each of us eventually.

For sure keep me posted. I think its best to under dose, start slow and adjust form there. I like that acropower but I use very little. A capful makes my tank break out with cyano. And I actually see benefits from just using a small amount. I may look into the coral plus, just so many things and options to go with. For now I just want steady alk ca mg. :)

Im like you, Im liking the dp4. What potassium did you go with? I hear it really brings out colors, which is cool. IM glad youre feeling better now, im gonna refer people in my next video to your video. A lot of people should know. I knew about it, but didnt know it was that bad, mainly just read about it. Do you scrape the back of your tank at all. I was wondering if that way you get coraline algea growth. The only thing I dont like is that if you let it grow it gets to hard and tough to remove. I havent done a water change is a while and my corals are thriving and open up. I check my parameters and sugar dose. When I would change the water everything would close up. I have real good mechanical filtration and a dff diatom filter that is the best product that I have ever purchased for my tank.

"Hey Mang", I mix white vinegar to my Kalk and it eliminates the carbonate residue you are experiencing. after mixing pour right into your auto top off reservoir. Check it out.

Seems to help a little. He still chases himself in his reflection. Ive been feeding nori twice a day. My clown had a chunk missing and so did my coral beauty! So far everyone is good to go

Can't wait to hear about the Jabeo doser. I'm thinking of switching from Kalk as well. I currently use a 5 gallon reservoir and have rigid tubing about 2 inches from the bottom and use an Aqualifter for my auto top off. I never have a problem with sludge buildup from the kalk.

Hey Phillip, If Kalk is working for you then its good. With 5 Gallons its not bad, but mine built up over time. Hard for me to get my hands in there. I had a tunze pump kicking on to help stir it every hour. Just becareful with the aqualifter, I should how the kalk clogged up my ato line.

I thought that I was always buying allot of stuff to try out, but u got me beat by a mile!! I didn't like kalkwasser either, I'm using BRS also with the balling light additives, just started, I did use two little fishes balance a&b but always kept my alk at 7.0-7.5, which I like to have higher 9-10! I feel you on the kalk... I never figured out how to measure the concentration of my kalk mixture.. I thought measuring ph of the ATO water would do it but I could never confirm it. Removed kalk almost 4 ago and haven't looked back... Good luck with the doser man

Hi Brother, yeah you dont have to feed the Tangs like that, lol. The clowns have been with me for at least 3 years. One of them still has Orange mouth. But they are one of my favorite. I was thinking about getting some maroon clowns if I still had the 10g Frag tank. But I know people who have had clowns for years. I hope Im lucky enough to keep mine that long!
