I have 5 powerheads in total just now. I have two wp40's on the left side and two koralia 4's with a tunze 6045 on the right hand side.

Hi Beetles, thanks yeah the rods work a treat and you can create awesome structures with it. Just take your time and let your imagination run wild :)

Thanks Wesley I can't wait myself to get some corals in there. It's going to be a mix of sps and lps. Since there is areas of lower flow and light I may as well make use of it with LPS I love... :)

Nothing good happens fast in a reef tank as they say ;)

I'm slower than most but just because I want to have all the equipment in place to run my system with ease. Instead of rushing buying cheap or what will just do to get it going and full of coral n fish.
It's not just the destination, it's as much about the whole journey for me... I'll get there one day :)

Well done on taking your time. Patients is probably the biggest key to success in this hobby...

Hi Gene, yeah Diesel was feeling left out :)

Coral selection will be mainly sps but with some of my favourite LPS. I may also add some zoas and rics for areas with less flow etc... I'll be getting some pieces end of the month so hoping the LFS has some quality bits in when I go..

Another great update. The extra island turned out awesome. It makes the tank appear to be bigger. You should put some thought into becoming an aquascaper as a little side job, you've definitely got the skills.

Hi Genisis, yeah I thought so too. It looks much bigger and it's better to look at now. I think I had to much negative space before. So this has definitely balanced out the tank. Still have plenty sandy areas for LPS etc.

Now that's a great idea but I'd be worried I would build lots of structures and no one bought them. The wife would kill me lol :D

No I managed it myself. Funny because we always imagine things are going to be tougher than they really are once you do it. Was easy enough since I had the large island in three stages. Big jigsaw that went together fine.
