If this is dry rock u need to add rock first then sand then water ..... u made this so much harder on urself also u should of used a chisle to break up the rock

thanks for the input, i did end up moving some of the rock around later on look at it in my latest update in the 40g reef tank channel and let me know what you think.

you were at times so close to a very good aquascaping then you moved the rock to a bad position...

go to bulk reef supplys website where i bought the rock and they are calling it dry live rock, although i agree with you on the fact that it cant be "alive" if its dry.

@snowingspoon if it was regular live rock that comes wet then this may be true, but the dry live rock doesn't have anything living on it.

Washing the Rock with Fresh water kills the life on the rock. so don't do this next time. wash the rock only with Saltwater of same salinity that you are going to use in the tank.

@hockeycrazy165 thanks ive changed up the rock a little more since i made this video. cool so you just bought a 40 gal? you should check glass holes over flow kit. you also might want to check out xaqua xinout overflow system
