Here in US we need to learn from our neighbors on the north , no way here is even ilegal with the inspectors and they sale it in two parts. Good job anyway pretty clean and neat. Keep Reefing

Very nice Plumbing work , my concerns are that you didn't use any cleaner on the pvc and that's how it suppose to be used for better bonding and instead of those glue in ball valves I prefer the one with unions on both side for when they star falling to close properly, just an small tip from a 35 years old plumber. But overall NICE JOB I can wait to see all working

Big tanks need redundancy. Two pumps. If one fails, you keep on ticking.

Two on the tank running in tandem. If one fails, you lose some of the flow but the sump doesn't stop.

Hey man, awesome setup! Not sure if you've used that type of union valve before, but they won't seal off water once you take the union off..the gasket seal piece just falls out once you take the union nut off.

Thought I'd share, as I installed those on my system initially and had to replace them. Keep up the great work!

Probably a aha moment. Loving the tank btw, but a bit sceptical about all the reductions and 90's. Did the same thing and its a bit noisy at times. I dont have the luxurary of a basement sump though.

Looks really good. That calcium reactor is a monster. You do a really good job and you are confident enough to record everything while your doing it on the fly. I would have to measure 10 timed pre fit everything and then record it like hey guys let me show you how to do it lol.

Man, love the videos. Been watching this build for some time but just subscribed. Don't know why I waited so long. I want to do a saltwater tank but am terrified lol. Seems like so much goes into it that I just don't know anything about. I have freshwater tanks. They seem to be much easier to set up and maintain. I could be wrong though. Anyways, everything is coming together very well and it is all looking fantastic. Keep it up!!

you are probably going to have to add a ball valve to that 1 inch line to the reactors. Although you decreased the diameter it is still the path of least resistance because of the head pressure up to the tank.

I love your videos and have been watching for the last couple months. I just had my previous 180g tank seam split after 10 years on Memorial day morning before throwing the ribs on the smoker and replaced it with another 220g. I used the Charlotte pipe single unions (if they are the Charlotte pipe from Lowes) that you show in this video coming from my Synergy Reef overflow going into my sump on each 1.5" pipe so I could cut the water to each one when I need to change my filter socks. First time I needed to I cut the flow to the one and when I unscrewed the pipe the seal broke loose from the union, water everywhere. So i figured ok got a bad union. Went to change the 2nd one and same thing happened. Maybe I got 2 bad unions but I ordered the Spears gate valves after that and haven't had any issues.

any concerns with the nitrate reactor crashing or does it not work like that? Also do you have to keep adding fuel or does that just get the ball rolling and the fish waste keeps the nitrate reactor feed? Just wondering if having something set up like that, that can be such a big part of your filtration having problems and causing more issues then it is worth.

But aren't you supposed to give the pipe a turn and hold it in there for at least 15 seconds instead of just sticking it in and being done with it? The turn is why they suggest marking everything with a sharpie.

i plumbed my tank the same way with 1 pump on a Manifold with 1 glue and no primer, no leaks aswell, i just used Medium Grey Glue

White looks great with the black and red. I stayed with white because of my Deltec Skimmer also. I have a 210 with a 100 gallon sump, I thought it was a complicated setup, till I seen your set up. Very Impressed.

now that is a awesone fish room. Where do I begin. The skimmer is a serious piece of equipment how many silencers does that thing have..wow...Awesone job with the plumbing and you made it look easy. Nice neat job too. I can't wait to see this beauty up and running. One question are you running any kind of screen on the sump side of the bulkhead so no debris gets sucked into the return pump?
