I don't know what is up with chromis. He mentioned having trouble keeping chromis which are supposedly easy fish to keep. I used to work at an aquarium shop and we had great success keeping most fish including tangs and angelfish etc. We did however for whatever reason have trouble keeping chromis alive! I do not understand it at all. I even personally had trouble keeping chromis alive in my 90 gallon mixed reef when my tangs, clownfish, and sps/Lps thrived. Kind of annoys me

fincasters everything is doing great I believe for the looks of it if you look at my videos you’ll see my calcium is between 450-475 and alkalinity is 8.5 Thank you!

CUBAN REEFER Hi Cuban Reefer. There are sooooo many variables. Calcium and all levels. Competition from corals. Lighting... just to name a few. How is the rest of your reef doing?

They are. It's strange -- because they are the ultimate beginner fish. On the other hand, I think they have a shorter lifespan. think of them like you would the baitfish in the ocean -- where they are near the bottom of the fish food chain. It's interesting how they are able to adapt of changes in water chemistry when a tank is cycling -- but later in life are a bit fragile.

John Carlin once again a very educational , entertaining video. The Center in the Square Roanoke Reef tank is flourishing. The design and installation are supurb. But we must give credit to Carlin Aquariums for keeping the fish happy and healthy!

Wow great video, it was great to learn how much care went into these setups like protein skimming the jellyfish tank to aquaculturing and transporting the live rock from Florida. Nice to see that all of original inhabitants are doing so well!
