next time turn your flow off completely and let it settle into a spot so it can grab hold. when its stressed out it will have a harder time doing so. and never panic. they do love to move around till they find the perfect spot for themselves

They have a nice tank, you learn as you go. I found it funny sounds like me and my husband messing around with the tank. let them live and learn thats what makes having a tank fun. Your tank is really nice.
