so i have a 13 gallon all in one fluval tank and i'm having an algae problem. its nothing major like green hair algae its just a green tint starts to form on my glass every day. the nitrate levels are low, i have a miniature refugium set up with copepod's and i do a water change once a week. it grows quick, i clean my glass in the morning and again at night and my lights are only on for 5-7 hours a day. any advice on what i'm doing wrong?(the tank has been running for 5 months)

Inappropriate Reefer I actually don’t but that’s something I plan on starting as soon as I have the time. My ships been getting underway a lot so I haven’t been able to start that system yet. I have 3 bumble bee, 6 astrea snails plus 10-15 blue legged hermits. Should I have more than that?

+Ryan cox that doesn’t sound too bad, have you thought about adding a few more snails? Trochus, Astrea, Turbo May be good additons. (I assume you are already using RO/DI water?)

HAHA That was GREAT,, then,,,, OH NO!!! That was funny. That Blenny didn't like being caught so I HOPE he goes back in again... Doesn't it just kill you when the fish outsmart us? I have literally taken out 50 lbs of live rock to catcha dang fish... That was before traps like these.... Ill be waiting for the NEXT catch!

Then, wow. What a bummer! I've been there. Waiting days for the stupid fish. My tank is about the same size as yours. I don't screw around anymore. I just drain the tank, scoop the fish out, and fill it back up. Takes like 5 minutes.

You know what you should try placing a rock with loads of holes and put it where he hangs out and just hope he goes in one of holes and did he does just pick up that Rock and he should inside it my mate catches his Blenny all the time that way I hope this helps

isnt it a shame when fish cause issues? I just had to get rid of a matted filefish because he caused havoc in my tank, its been a week and still recovering :( but he was alot easier to catch, slow fish haha
