Checkin' out Paul's 240-gallon Custom Reef Tank Build Part II

Taking a look at new developments on Paul's 240-gallon Miracles tank build. The reef tank now is fully operational with all the equipment in place. The sump section is very well organized and contains the refugium, protein skimmer, probes, heaters, reactors, and controllers. There are several fail-safes designed into the system to avoid some of the pitfalls of automation. In the comments below, let me know how many fish you think can reasonably be kept in a system this size! I'll be doing more equipment videos on Advanced Reef Aquarium's YouTube channel. If you want to subscribe to the Advanced Reef's channel, you can find the channel's page here: http://www.youtube.com/user/AdvancedReefing Advanced Reef Aquarium is a company Paul and I started to sell some of our favorite reef stuff. I dont get why he went through all that planning and put the refugium beofore the skimmer? In my opinion the refugium should be last before the return pump.

Considering the fact it is going to be a bare bottom tank.I would think you could house more fish than usual.

Wouldn't put too many fish. A nice pair of designer clowns, purple tang, foxface and a few anthias.

I really like Saxby's aquarium too. I would love to do a large tank one day that is more like his (basically a public aquarium setup).

I would love to see his wiring diagram and a schematic of his plumbing plan. Care to get that geeky? And the more fish the better! Look at Saxby's tank. It's loaded! With all the equipment planned for this system, bioload should be the last of his worries. Schools of fishes swimming through sps dominant reefs are beautiful things.

Super awesome!!! Fewer fish definitely. Just a thought though...getting those tunze pumps outta there to clean is not gonna be fun.
