dont u have to have something live (sand/rock) in ur tank to start cycling. theres nothing in ur tank atm to start breaking down the dead shrimp.

hey, looks great I love setting up new tanks from scratch, I would suggest getting some sand and rock in before you start cycling the tank with the dead shrimp. This is because the whole point of the nitrogen cycle is to build beneficial bacteria to change the amonia into nitrates and further break down and remove nitrates/nitirites. If there is nowhere for that bacteria to live ie rock and sand then your labors will be for nothing
