What is so unbelievable about it? If your main, and trace elements are too low you can replenish them. There are plethora of ways to remove phosphates and nitrates from the system as well. Reef keeping wasn't even possible several decades ago, the people is this hobby are too close-minded.

The problem is not to replace...because you can replace all the things that are consumed in the tank....the problem is not to take off things that skimmer and even carbon can´t take off the system. But your reef is awesome !

greetings from down under Glenn!! I love the look of the tank and have been sporadically keeping up with the tank over the years.

forgive me for my ignorance, but I was wondering what you have in place for nutrient export. the only reason I ask is i'd like to adopt some aspects of DSR to my planned tank whilst using a quasi balling method to keep trace elements, KH and calc constant.

I was wondering if this is possible or if DSR is a method that requires commitment on all fronts?

I've learned over the years to pretty much never listen to anyone on the forums. 90% of them are simply self-righteous a-holes. And ReefCentral is only good for the photos, I cringe when I read "advice" from their mods.
