Thanks for the information. I did add 2 peppermint shrimp and they took care of the problem, however they also ate my whole front crop of zoas... I have one aiptasia in my BC29 and I'll give Joes Juice a try.

Use hot water and calcium mixed together. Suck it into a piece of airline and then blow it on the aiptasia. They quickly die without risking adding chemicals of unknown origin in your tank. The pH imbalance and hot water is more than they can take.

TheCoralReefTalk I don't have joes juice here in Malaysia. Do you think vinegar or lemon juice will work?

+Jonathan Lee If it's easy to reach, you can manually move it by cutting some of the Rock it's on, so that you remove it with a little bit of rock. Any fragments of aiptasia left in the tank will grow back and multiply. Joe's Juice works really well, to Target just one.

Pretty simple, add a peppermint shrimp lol..... mine after a week, pulverized 3 of them from the earth, never saw any aptasia again....

I love those file fish. I Just used aiptasiaX and a peppermint shrimp. haven't seen any aiptasia in months. the Shrimp even went after tiny feather dusters but not as aggressive.

I had a filefish and he did great with the aptasia. They were gone in a matter of days. The filefish then devoured 3 of my Acan colonies. Once the filefish was removed, the aptasia came back. No Bueno.

I visit an lfs that has aiptasia in most of its fish tanks. I'm afraid to buy anything from there. I wonder what the risks are with buying anything from them.

It would be a high risk. A risk I wouldn't want to take. Those aptasia aren't effected by coral dips.

i heard they feed those file fish Rod's Foods to supplement the lack of aiptasia.. I'm just hoping my fish don't harass him

I have an ORA aiptasia eating file fish in QT. Hopefully he doesn't eat too much coral. Have you had any problems?

A quick tip... your music at full volume is too loud. I made the same mistake a while ago. Bring it down 3 or 4db so it matches up with the narration.

TheCoralReefTalk people used to give me a lot of comments about it on my video. And so the moment I pulled a track onto the timeline the first thing I would do is lower the whole audio track to -2 to -4 db. Depending on the song. You can see the wave form and how it looks next to your narration. It should look similar.

Yea. Any time it was a break in the narration and you went full music. Just a handful of times. It is much louder than your voice. iMO

Joe's juice is interesting. Peppermint shrimp didn't work for me either. What about the file fish now? Will it eat your mix now that the aphasia is gone?

I haven't noticed him picking at anything, He eats frozen food, flakes and just about any food I put in the tank. He is an interested fish to watch.
