considering the height of the last couple panels, how much volume is left for slight draining in a power outage, and why are the center panels all the way to the top which won't prevent flooding if bottom area would get clogged....

this is failure design due to water will be flow thru at bottom of third compartment .

Beautiful sump, rare to see glass sumps these days, I wouldn't have put my skimmer after the fuge, but gorgeous set up, wish you the best on the tank

Or for that matter you could test any chamber in any order with the dye. This may take several shoots but would be a beautiful video when said and done.

Put dye in a dropper as your filling the first chamber to see the fluid dynamics. It could help to improve the concept by minor adjustments and what not. It also would be visually satisfying.
