Liking the videos been a massive help the deep sand bed has sorted out the main perimeters for my tank to keep my fish safe I'm just wondering if there's any easy way of being able to keep my calcium and magnesium in check in prep for me filling my tank with corals any tips or auto feeders I can put on my tank ?

+mark bentley I like to dose 2 part (powder) calcium in my weekly water change. I get it from BRS.

in my experience magnesium needs hardly any intervention. Calcium and alkalinity however require maintenance. Easiest way I think is dosing with an automated dosing system and find the right balance

Just saying a fish only system is way easier than a reef system. Also the diatom all over your sand would suggest you need to sort a couple of things out. All that aside you've done a pretty good job. Well done keep it up!

I have not shared it but to be honest its damn simple just full on 12k for 12 hours a day and then just a twiddle with the actinics at night to my preference. All off at 12.00am back on at 7 ;)

I have a reef tank after watching videos on YouTube etc and one of the first channels I subscribed to was yours! I think your type of video is great for people who like fish and coral but are not geeks and don't know or for that matter want to know the ins and outs of a ants arse hole when it comes to polyp extension etc. anyway thanks for the videos keep them coming. I may show my tank on here one day. I am just 60 days in. Cheers Tom
