Yea the sps made me dose too. Im trying to get it set up on a consistent dosing schedule but for some reason the corals will consume more ca and kh one day than the next

FishNerdVlogs I am dosing haha my levels was really low mag was like 1000ppm but I'm a week into dosing and levels are almost bang on. Everything went difficult when I added my sps corals. I'm on track with it though now

Oh yeah! Its a struggle to get those nitrates down in the beginning, but it will level out for you. Just wait till you have to start dosing! Lol

FishNerdVlogs I'm using bio balls to rid my nitrates and phosphates as I had a hair algae issue my nitrates are 25ppm high I know phos 2.5ppm phos has dropped from 5ppm so it's on its way down. Joys of a marine tank eh. 1st set up so it's all a learning curve sometimes frustrating but well rewarding.

Awesome! Glad it worked for you! It will probably take multiple rounds but as long as you keep your nitrates and phosphates in check, it will be gone in no time!

FishNerdVlogs did it yesterday with great results. Couldn't get all of it so scrubbed it with a new tooth brush sucked up what I could. Filter socks I had to clean out 3 times yesterday no doubt I'll have to when I get home later. Cheers dude

This was helpful, and I'm going to follow your advice, but it took too long to get to the topic of the video - almost 2 minutes which is a long time for a five-minute video. I'm not trying to be snarky - just some constructive criticism to make a better video next time. And wiping red slime algae "off the plane of existence" isn't quite true. The underlying causes of it must be addressed too, or it is still on the plane of existence.
