The premixed water in a bag from petco. I added that into my 10 gal tank and the water level was low so i added like 8 cups of tapwater to top off the tank and my fluval seameter is reading below the bottom line now. (no fish present) just the live rock. Any ideas on how to fix this? Water is still cloudy just bought last night. Thanks

great tank. I have one very similar. I used Rodi water and i run a HOB filter with Carbon and polishing pads. But i suffer with bad algae. Got Rowaphos in the filter now. Still no better.

Hi Mike, I recently set up a 10 gallon reef tank about four weeks ago I got the Aqueon Quiet Flow 10 filter which moves 100gph and the Hydor Koralia Circulation and wave pump at 240gph is that enough water flow or do I need to up my flow? I noticed in your video, which I am just now seeing, that you have way more flow in your tank, which looks amazing by the way. I just have fish and cuc in my tank at the moment, probably won't be doing coral for a little while since I really want my tank to be established but will be adding them in the future.

Thanks Mike, I do a 10% water change every week except this week I did a 20% because after putting in my new fish the ammonia and Nitrates started rising so I had to bring it back down. I do not currently have the glass top on mine like you do and I have to top off every morning so I will be purchasing the glass top for mine. Everything is doing well so far. The only regret I have is my purchase of the sand sifting star fish, I am not sure he is getting enough to eat, I might be taking him back soon.

I think that should be plenty. 10 gallons is easy to create flow but more difficult to keep stable. You can do it. Just stay on top of everything and you'll succeed. Don't get frustrated

Yeah that's the stuff. My LFS carries it for $5 a pound as suppose to live rock which is $9. So you should have 1 lb per gallon, so imagine it would have cost $750 just to fill a 75 gallon with live rock. Fuck that

If you can I would go with carib sea life rock. It's less expensive and doesn't come with hitch hikers. It painted nice purple and is infused with BB that will activate once it's in the water.
