Only problem with him is that i feel hes the killer of all my cleaner shrimp both scunk and blood shrimp because they always seem to go missing i pisses me off i thought it was the lionfish at first then i got rid of him and i sitll have the unicorn so i think it was the unicorn framing the lionfish this whole time.

i have owned a unicorn fish in a 120 gallon aquarium for nearly 4 years now but the only difference is that i have rock and no coral

so I plan on getting a yellow tang, but a 55 gallon, 4 foot long tank. Is that good for optimal health? just another Colorado Reefer!

I don't recommend a 55 for a yellow tang they actually get pretty big. I personally wouldn't put one in less than a 75. Colorado has an awesome reefing community.

I get ick 2 times a year I don't no why I have a 180 gal reef and every year since I've owned it I get it

Ich probably lives in your seystem. Any stress to the fish can bring on another wave, but it sounds like it's always there.

In my experience you get ich on tang, only when your tank is way to young. I have four tang in my tank for 2-1/2 years now. My advice is don't add them when your tank is too new, wait 10 months when you started a tank. Happy reefing guys.

+criscamila There is a lot of resilience built into an established tank.

+Josh Radomski Those are some really cool fish but difficult fish. I would love an Achilles but they but with there price and reputation I shy away from them.

a tang can be very happy and healthy in a 55 gallon tank, i use to have a 46 gallon before i made the jump to a 210 and i had a vlamingi tang and a yellow tang and they did great for the 10 months i had the tank. your key to having success in a smaller tank with tangs in enough food source and places to hide if they ever get stress or ich.

Beautiful tank and very good advice on tangs. When I used to run my 75G I loved my yellow tang. Now I just run a 28G and 10G reef tanks.

Had newish tank with A bunch of cool looking, healthy fish. Added Blue Hippo Tang- Diseased. He died, then Powder Blue, and the gramma and the banggai cardinals. I was devestated, but I still had Two clowns and a yellow tang. Yellow tang was the last one, until he went. Just added two baby clowns today. In short, quarantine your fish.

Clowns never die... You could take them out of the water. And they would spring arms and walk

Awesome Video, I love Tangs Too! Currently I owned  a Hippo, and a sailfin  in a 120 Gal. I almost lost the hippo due to stress caused by the sailfin being aggressive toward the hippo . Like you said Good food quality is the key.  In-addition to that, I feed them Dr G's anti parasitic caviar at least once a week to help them boost their immune system, food for thought :-) keep them great videos coming. I would like to add another tang in there , to keep the sailfin's mind occupy.. What do you think?

+Darrin Hawkey My Hippo is also the king of the tank but the aggression will likely subside. sounds like a pretty cool tank with those fish in it.
