It's been about a year since this was posted. Take another video and let's see how it is holding up I am curious about building up of debris on the bottom of the intake area. Design looks interesting

I love your design and would like to have one made but I would like to make it just a little bigger. May I please get the dimensions on your complete design (your plans) each chamber measurement, acrylic thickness, highs of the two float switch trays and probe holders? Also now that you have had it set up for a wile would you make any changes? You really do have one of the best designs I have seen.

Mate, nice sump! How have you got your chiller plumbed? I can see one of your Mag's plumbed to it, with an outlet hose, but cannot see where that hose drains into... Cheers.

Thanks for the video, may I ask, how are the filter socks sealed? are they just siting in the whole or do they have an o ring installed on them? I love the fact that you can change the socks without moving the return lines!!

$650? That is cheap for the size and quality! Can you send me AE's info for when I upgrade to a bigger sump! Lol. Im happy with my sump right now, its a trigger systems Ruby 36S.

I'm surprised you let the power wires to just go over the top of the sump. :) I know it's pretty much impossible, but if anyone could do it I would have thought it would be you! Love your sump. May I even ask how much that baby put you back?

I have one above the Mag 18 but non above the 9.5 since it is not hard plumbed it can be taken out whenever

The filter socks part is what makes this tank, i will never have a reef tank again without filter socks! I would put them in there if i were you!

My tank is 234 gallons, and i am not even sure that i am going to wind up using that section as a refugium or just another section for either grow outs or a naughty fish spot, lol My nitrates, nitrites and ammonia, as well as phosphate are zero so no need for a fuge as of now.

that is one sick sump man. How large is your aquarium? Hopefully that fuge is large enough for your setup. I had a precision marine wave like refugium like that one and it worked fine on my 90gal saltwater tank.

My system is DEAD Quiet, i am running a full siphon drain and the water going into the filter socks makes NO NOISE at all, the only noise comes from the mag 18 which is almost silent itself. lol

Very nice! Love the design and quality. How noisy are those filter socks in that configuration? I only ask as its not the done thing in the UK and I don't know why - I love that configuration.

Nice sump looks good. I would like to see a video showing how the automatic water change systems works if you ever get time. I like the idea but not fully understand how you have it set up.

Yes, I thought about that as well. But I pump the new water directly into the tank and take out water from the sump so there really isn't enough time for the new water to go through the tank down into the sump and all the way through the sump in time for it to be drained out. For now this is the best way I could think to do the water changes. Thanks for the thought though!

why not have the auto water change where it pumps out the 10gallons first and then pumps in the new water after, and reverse the functions of the floats and pumps?

It depends how big you make it but this one was roughly $650 if I remember correctly! I got to pick the colors and everything lol. Does not get more custom then this! And Tyler is incredible to work with! Highly recommend him!
