that just seems unreal! Maybe I should read through comments first but I just cant see how a tank like this could 'crash' without sabbatage, (other than say a lengthy power outage) obviously you (owner) are experienced enough and knowledgeable enough of marine aquaria to have such a beast in the first place....just don't see how....and to blame the RO filter? have to elaborate if ya get back on here

i hope that u could tell me about your achiles tang, did u have any problem with them! i never have a good luck with them , alway die on me , main reason is ick problem.....

Check out my videos. I use 2 retrofit kits running 4 54 watt bulbs. A_M_A_Z_I_N_G color! Very little heat. I use 3 blues one white.

SPS stands for "small polyp stony" and LPS "large polyp stony" both are still reef tanks.

sps corals are hard corals whey diffrent from your everyday soft low light corals

I've seen the tank's on reef central and all the "tank of the month" use halide lighting. I'm just going by experience of better growth I get vs. T-5 but if it works then by all means try it......personally.....halide is best for me

I lost my camera recently so i can't upload any video of my tank. Instead of going with the T-5's if you can afford it go with the halide 150 because The SPS's are going to need the high intensity lighting that T-5's can't provide however, it is good for LPS, mushrooms and soft corals.....Good Luck and Happy Reefing

The brighter the better but what the temperature of your water. I would hookup a chiller if you go with the 250 watt halides. I have an SPS tank but i use the 150watt and they are doing great with no chiller needed.

Let me start by saying that I've been involved with marine fish keeping for a long time, so I don't get impressed that easily. That being said, you tank is stunning! Very awesome. Whats you lighting? Tank size?

Really sorry to hear that mate,,what a stunning tank.Look at it this way the next will be amazing to.I had a bad crash in the past and lost everything tho now my tank is looking well.When you get a chance take a look at my set up.Regards Trevor

great tank, what supplements if any do you use to keep all those sps' happy? and what lighting do you use? i have just bought a 250w +x2 39w T5 actinics MH unit for my 120l 25G tank im wondering if that will be enough for corals with high lighing requirements? its over 10W per gallon.
