Thanks for your admiration, but i never use zeovit system! I just keep the tank clean as possible as i can.

Nice I'd like my next tank to be at least 2 and a half foot deep so I don't have to frag to often when the corals reach the surface I'm lazy like that haha

Old school for sure. The asian guys really know how to utilize all the tech from the 90s and make it work. I'd like to see the growth. ...but there arnt any updates.

@brentmuv no sand allows one to clean the bottom of the aquarium of detritus and waste. However to some a barebottom aquarium may not be pleasing to the eye

great tank, love how its spread out not just covering the back wall like many tanks you see. if you traded that coral for a bigger tank, how much did you get for it? if you dont mind me asking. that is quite a collection you built up

Absolutely stunning! Would look better with a sandbed but the beauty of the corals really make up for it. Is this tank still running?

I was running my first saltwater tank bare bottom with a forest of mushrooms spanning the bottom. I don't see many bare bottom tanks around and I think yours looks absolutely fantastic, Sand does have its advantages and disadvantages... BUT when it comes down to it, it's up to the aquarist to how they want their tank looking.

sand acts as a bio filter... you only get detritus residue if you overfeed. and thats what hermit crabs and other cleaners are for. you should prob know this already

I've got 20 yrs in the reef hobby.Check out my 125g on my site.I use sand in my california stingray tank.She keeps the sand disturbed.My reef systems haven't had sand since 2004 and its the best descion I ever made.I have converted many people from sand to bare bottom.It also helps with nitrates.

Sand is horrible in full reef tanks.Tempting but never use sand it creates pockets of hyrdogen sulfide all around the rocks and deeper spots of sand.If you disturb the sand bed while moving things around the gas will release and can kill tank inhabitants.Disgusting!
