If you restricted the water coming into the sump. How come you never had the sump run dry?or aquarium overflow? I think it would be hard to find the perfect flow rate on the return pump to make it work.

No click bate here my friend. Click bate is when you bate someone in with something that isn't what the video is actually about. My tank was leaking hence not click bate. The tank was leaking over the side of the sump. Thanks for your support.

In the sump is it better to have the water go throw the refugium then the skimmer, or the skimmer then the refugium , also how much flow should be in the refugium? Thanks and as always great video!!!

You need to add a splash cover on your sump where your Drain pipes travels down to ( Like theTrigger Systems Sump has). And move the drain pipes are too close to the edge wall of the sump. Hence when it overflowed it dripped out to the sides.

Not a great idea to restrict the drains to control flow. Restrict the return pump.

I know all about leaking sumps!!
this year I lost a diy sump of my salt tank that cracked for no real reason at all. .
thank god I was in the room when ik happend so I could drain one compartiment and buy one new
and 3 months later my fresh water quarantine tank exploded due to a ventilator that has dropt down on the display panel.

There is a very slow drip on that union right in the middle at the top of the frame while we're looking at your sump. It looks like it drips back into your sump though so no real problem I guess. Just caught my attention and I couldn't stop watching it
