I have a 60g cube and I run 1 AI Hydra on it and two MP10s and it is working awesome! I wanna add a second light when I can afford to but really one light does the trick and I can successfully grow anything I want. 60g cubes are great tanks!

nice I am getting a 60 gallon cube this weekend used but has no light was thinking a sol led since I am only paying 300 for tank stand sump with protein skimmer its a dal

@muffemod I had the fixture from a corner tank. Yes I think a square fixture would look nice, and be a great choice.

@slorichie Thanks for the swift reply. Why the rectangle pendant over a cube tank? Wouldn't an 8 sided octognal reflector like Lumen Bright, spread the light better? It's obvious from you video the icecap fixture works more than fine, but given the choice of an 8 sided pendant would you go that route?

@muffemod it is the icecap fixture and icecap ballast igot it from aqua cave. yes the 150 watt will work fine, i am running a 120 gallon with 2 150 watt over it and things are fine even at the bottom.

@slorichie I'm thinking of setting up a cube tank. Do you think Phoenix 150 watt double end would be enough for 18"x18"x18" (25 gallon) or should I go 250 watt? Also what pendant and ballast do you use?

@pyropuffer just the 250w mh and it is 12 inches off the water, i think that it is a great choice for a 60 cube. i have tried every bulb and like the double ended pheonix 14k the best it does not color shift like some others i have tried. good luck with your tank.

@desiremyvids Bulb is only 55.00 and has to be changed every 6 months. The fixture and ballast are icecap Look on aquacave.com for cost on different fixture options.

@TheBlueLorax thanks it is custom i order it from a local fish shop who gets them in Los Angeles. It is 24x24x24. If i did it again i would have my sump returned drilled and coming up inside the overflow then drilled thru the overflow wall.
