Wonder how many people get a load bearing test or inspection done on the floor before they install these large tanks. Probably 0. Keep it on the ground floor.

BTW, for such a long tank, shouldnt the bottom side be braced too? Mine only 5ft long but bottom is braced.

ah ok... at least you have a precedent. im over worried cause its a permanent fixture with 1 ton of water in there. No worries now :)

Nice video, how long until the silicone cures? You must be so excited. An 8 foot tank is a dream of mine. I love that you went with a blue background it's very under rated. The stand is fantastic too, when you have a custom tank it makes sense to go with a nicer stand vs the diy 2x stands everyone myself included has. A couple of questions. Is that a heater on the wall? Did you consider going deeper than 24" front to back? Would you have had to go with thicker glass to just do eurobracing without the cross braces? Look forward to updates.

Thank you. The silicone will take 10 days to cure. I thought about a 3 foot width but the room is a little narrow. There is a radiator under the window which will not affect the temp of the tank :)
