Loronzo Rogers have you ever seen a lake steam? Same principle happens with your house environment. If your tank is warm, and the air is cold, then you’ll get higher evaporation. Lids help a lot.

haha, they are expensive but you can find them used. the challenge is finding a good one.

Ive been searching for that medical pump for a while. Ive actually bought a couple but had to return them because they had issues. Finally I found one I can live with (the led display is a little off - no biggy).
But Ive already had to adjust the flow because my alk slipped from 9.9 down to 9.5, so i adjusted this pump up to 3.5 = SO COOL.

Yes I did - eventually... I noticed that the heaters were always on but the temp was not rising. Im not exactly sure when this happened but the tank is only 5 months old, so it happened sometime recently.? Ive done a few water changes and running a bunch of carbon... Things should turn around - fingers crossed! Happy Reefing man!

That dosing setup looks heavy-duty! My sister-in-law works in a cancer clinic. I wonder what they do with their old peristaltic pumps when they upgrade....? Nice update.

What happens with them is they donate them to other countries for tax credits after they start showing signs of wear. Then the whole sale people get a hold of them and sell them back for as much as they can get on used gear. You can find them on ebay but many have problems. If you do go this route, be prepared to do a few returns before you find a good one and dont buy stuff from outside usa because then you cant return... Just my 2 cents...
