Interesting. I have always thought that you need to stay away from the micro bubbles but always wondered why, seem d more like an old school thought that no one ever questioned. I've found very little. The bubble are so small that they do not float up to the top of the tank and pop. They just kinda go around the tank until finally getting into the overflow.

I run it from about 9pm to 6am.

Just found your channel and videos are great learning tools. I have a question about your ocean revive light. I have the same light 13" above the surface of my SCA 50 cube. What settings do you run yours at and how many hours a day? I have my whites at 3 and my blue/color at 7. Anything more and my Zoas and Xenia will retract. Was just curious if you find it to be as intense for your corals. I run mine about 10 hours a day. I really like the simplicity of the light.

Thanks for checking out the channel. For the light, it really depends on what corals you have. Zoas seem to not need a lot where sps need more. Also you want to acclimate your corals to any new light. Start out low like you have and increase it by 5 every week. Keep an eye on how the corals are doing and adjust back down if you see them respond negatively. In the end you just want to end up with a setting that you like and works for the corals where you're seeing growth. Since I have all sps and one green star polyp I started up at 20/30 blue/white and I think now its at 30/40 or just around there.

Thanks. I'm not totally sold on it yet. But the fact that it just makes sense that an ocean would have bubbles... We'll see how it works out. I do like the fact that it seems to make my tank smell a little like the beach. I started noticing that after a while.

I'm not totally sure it is helping with the algae. I did dose my tank with api algaefix so the clearing I've seen was more then likely due to that. But I think the clear water is for sure due to the bubbling.
