EAST COAST REEFER you should if you do Herbie or bean animal style. It allows you to match the flow from your return so your backups stay unused. If you only use the primary overflow it will be quiet

You should never use tap water to cycle. You are just leeching bad things into the sand and rock

+Daniel Yepez yes for the time being , first day set up. Only using tap water to start cycle. No rush. Again this is a client of mine that needed his tank plumbed. I was not involved with the design or tank build. I was the plumbing guy that day. Stay tuned as we may be doing a follow up video of this tank.

You have to support the plumbing or the weight of the water will break the plumbing over time.

+muffemod I understand what you are saying but it is a very short span and there isn't much weight , but yes strapping the plumbing is great general practice when plumbing a reef tank, if needed. Stay tuned as we may do a follow up video of this stunning 350g

Your plumbing was awesome... your partner was making some boneheaded decisions.....throwing salt on that live rock.....im going to guess filling with normal tap water......and an entire bag of salt in that chamber. I do have one question for you @leopazzotv Why didn't you cut a hole in the overflow to fit the returns?

Those lights are complete and utter junk. They're completely useless for reef aquaria much less one of that size.

Unreal and really nice tank. Seems to me that the PVC plumbing needs support so all that weight isn't torquing against the holes in the glass. The 3/4" thickness of the glass might help, but I would add some time of hanging support to keep from breaking the glass. One small bump against that PVC could cause it to happen.

i have that light on my 40 gallon cube. you cant grow sps and some lps. that not enough light for that size of tank,you would have to add coral food to keep things going

oh that's an awesome tank I purchased a 300 with some horn sharks I wish you were over here I'd have you do the plumbing for me I bought it used as well but it's in great shape I'm going to have it delivered next week I'll clean the whole thing outside get a going by 3 weeks from now
