What do you feed that beautiful male Uhu (Parrot)? I know they crunch on corals. I've never seen one in a tank. But then I just started into this hobby 4 months ago.

How has that Moorish Idol not devoured all your corals? They aren't reef safe!

Hi Steve, please don't panic ;-).
I've been in this hobby for 13 years. The MI is not the only - less reefsafe fish- in my tank, but I must say the MI is the worst choice in a reeftank.
Lots of fish are not reefsafe, but as long as you choose the right corals it can be a great combination. Some corals I had to remove (or the MI would do it for me). Some corals get picked now and then, but they seem to do fine.

Hi Todd, thanks. The gorgonians are not nps. The Gorgonia ventalina needs moderate lighting, and a lot of watermovement. I don't think they need to be fed, but they might do better with some smaller food like lobstereggs.

I have this Copper Band for 10 years now. CB's are very easy to train and they will do anything for food when they are kept with fish that do not harass them. He eats almost everything I throw in the tank, even spirulina flakes.

How on earth do you keep your navarchus from eating your corals? Everything I've looked at says they will eat softies.

The Moorish Idol is a lot more difficult to combine with corals. The most beautiful coral I have, a pink and yellow lithophython lives in the sump because of the MI.
