Looks amazing!! If that was my tank I definitely couldn't see taking it down, you can tell that Rico spent a tremendous amount of time planning this tank and the placement of all those purdy sticks! But will def stick around to see whatever he decides to do

Man, seriously gorgeous video of the Live Stream King! I'd be sad to see this tank get taken down... would love to see how these colonies look a year or two down the road. Maybe Rico would be down to maintain two tanks...? ;-) Great video and I'm a fan of the blue cloves!

The only 2 things I'm seeing that are bugging me about this reef are that the bottom of the seratapora looks like its died off (I assume that's common with a large colony like that though due to self shading no?) and that one yellow tang with the messed up fins.

I'm also not currently a reef keeper and those are probably super nitpick details, but otherwise I love this tank and that blue polyp covering the rocks is a super dope idea!

I would not take it down but I think rico is bored with this tank he want more corals an he may want a little change so if he does do it I think he will be ok with achieving the same thing in the bigger tank so with that said nice looking tanks

Than, as you mention about Xenia taking over. Are there any (in-tank) methods to remove these from the rocks. (I cannot remove my rocks from the tank). When I try and rip them off the rock, they slime up, and shrivel back into crevices, etc making them nearly impossible to remove. Also once ripped, their little pieces float around the tank and setup up shop elsewhere : /

Rico's tank is as i have said many times before, one of the very best on YouTube from the diversity of life inside it, to the 'goings on' outside of it. As for an upgrade, goodness please yes, he got this 300 gallon DD looking this good so imagine what an upgraded version would look like in a few months/years with Rico at the helm..... Sanjay who? Mike Paletta who? (joke, those are 2 of very few ppl who could class themselves in the same league as Rico..... or vice versa) and all 3 deserving of their success due to their dedication alone, even if Mike is a hoarder lol.
This was so nice to watch as i have seen Rico's tank many times... but not quite like this. Well done Than and thank you!

It's a good excuse to do so. It's hard to think of good topics to cover after having done hundreds of videos. Now with the new camera it would be nice to go back and shoot those topics but with more insight after another year or two of experience.

I always say just shoot with what you have. It's more important to get "any" camera out and shoot rather than not doing so at all. Having said that... there is a really big difference between a professional cinema camera and an iPhone. They both say 4k, but they are not that close lol.

Just watched in 4k. Awesome video as always and an amazing tank. Im shocked i havent met Rico yet as i live in the area and attend almost all of the swaps and frequent shops in the area. I need to stop by the greenhouse soon and pick up a few new pieces. Im running out of space in the 180 so now its time for more zoas and encrusting corals.

You commented about how acropora can be beautiful one day and the gone the next Happened to me :( All parameters were good AND stable, color and growth was excellent. Nothing had changed. The only thing that I could come up with is paly toxin nuking the tank. I will probably never know for sure. It's in recovery mode for the LPS as not one acro survived. (Good time for reaquascaping!)

Mine almost never stay in the same spot and like to do laps around the tank. If they settle on some other coral I like, I have to go in there and move the other piece.

Lisa DiMercurio my rbta has made its home on a piece of shelf. i have moved the shelf 3 times and the rbta stayed put. i think it likes the idea of retracting at night under the shelf.
