@devonmorton if I am not paying attention and I put the food in, he will come out after the starfish if he is nearby. I guess pavlov's experiment in a reef tank! Only happens at feeding time.

I've never seen a pistol shrimp do that. Mine just gets upset when our wrasse hunts by him.
