wow i never seen a pistol shrimp do that as well thats not good it could end up killing your Sand sifting starfish my pistol shrimp doe's not do any thing like that jest lucky but ya good lock watch out for that!.. =]

@devonmorton if I am not paying attention and I put the food in, he will come out after the starfish if he is nearby. I guess pavlov's experiment in a reef tank! Only happens at feeding time.

I've never seen a pistol shrimp do that. Mine just gets upset when our wrasse hunts by him.
