This beautiful reef aquarium belongs to Vincent Thomas, owner of Aquarium Connections. It runs the Triton method and hasn't had a water change in 2.5 years at the time of filming. The corals are wonderfully mature and the whole display in Vince's home looks epic. Here's a brief tech spec from Vince himself - "So the tank dims are: 1500 x 1300 x 1000mm high, 2.5 years ago the aquarium was dismantled to allow for the flow to go to be installed, the floating base is 150mm high, so the viewing screen is now 850mm high. 2.5 years running Triton Method, with no water changes. Lighting comprises of 2 x 400watt reef brite hybrid halide, dimmable halides with 20k twin arc bulbs. To supplement these, I run 4 x 4ft xho reef brite strips, 2 actinic and 2 50/50. Skimmer is a Ultra Reef 250 Typhoon. Ultra Reef media reactors running al99 and triton carbon. Flow is accomplished with 2 x panta rhei hydro wizard ecm 63 running the flow to go and 2 x ecm 42s higher up. Dosing is via a GHL stand alone doser. Triton ICP analysis is carried out monthly. Many of the corals including the giniopora that stands 650mm high have been transfered from my previous Triton aquarium, of which run for 4.5 years. The rest are made up of fresh frags that have been grown on. The aquarium is built in 19mm low iron glass, with 45 degree mitres and a one piece CNC laminated glass brace."
