Would a small live rock or the live sand not introduce 1000 more bacteria.
Keep up the good work, and if you ever find your self in Sweden, you have a standing invitation to come and look at my 2300 liter DT (4k system) that is cycling this "summer".
I have been with Marine Depot for over 11 years and I have been keeping aquariums for just about 20 years! Thanks again for tuning in and feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks so much for watching and we look forward to you shopping here at Marine Depot!
If I won this Nuvo 10 gallon aquarium, I would first add live sand with beneficial bacteria and life rock from CaribSea for additional bacteria boosts. The first fish you add should be hardier and inexpensive in case your water parameters are not ready for livestock. I would recommend clownfish, gobies, shrimp and/or firefish. In my case, I would add two Wyoming white clownfish (which I've had experience with) and a firefish for additional color. I would add also 5 hermit crabs and five cleaner snails and a cleaner shrimp. For coral, I would add some assorted zoanthids to begin with and then some LPS such as hammers and acan lords and even a rose bubble tip anemone for the clownfish pair.
Good Luck to all contestants and thank you Marine Depot for the great video as usual!

And some live rock with different corals (obviously work well with anemones)and that's all because I would hate to overcrowd them :)
Small coral and maybe one small fish!
Yay
I would outfit the tank with the following:
Echinophyllia aspera - "Tron" Chalice
Echinophyllia sp. - Yellow Eye Chalice
Cyphastrea sp. - "Purple People Eater" Cyphastrea
Leptastrea sp. - Orange Leptastrea
Sympodium sp - Blue/Green Sympodium
Ricordea florida - "Blue Florida" Ricordea
Discosoma sp. - "Blue Spot Red" Discosoma
Green Clown Goby
Royal Gramma Basslet
Six Line Wrasse
Whitespotted Pygmy Filefish
Blue Tuxedo Urchin
Bumble Bee Snails
Peppermint Shrimp
Pederson cleaner shrimps
Nassarius Snails
Orange Chestnut Turbo Snails
Happy reef keeping!

After having a couple of kids I sadly left the hobby behind and this would totally be an amazing way to introduce them to this gorgeous world.
I would keep it simple with a pair of clowns and a peppermint shrimp.
Good luck all.
Recently I began looking into reef and coral tanks. I am still so new I am not sure what I would stock a tank with but would initially look at invertebrates like fire shrimp, snails and maybe an urchin. I am very interested in corals but I have not remotely decided which way to go first.
I am very interested in nano fish but that's too far away at the moment... I had not thought to actually get a saltwater tank until next year.
If I Won I would have a pair of classic clown fish that i love the bright orange color of and later down the line I would look into adding a Goby such as the Rainford's Goby. Eventually down the line i would try doing beginner corals :D
As for saving money, don`t cheap out. Instead buy quality, don`t cut corners but you can budget.
Keep up the good work!
The corals would all be from World Wide Corals (WWC). The corals I would pick are green star polyps, neon galaxea corals, and cherry blastomussa.
if I win I would like 2 clown fish
I am an aquarist that has been in the aquarium hobby for a mere 10 years. Along the way there have been ups and downs, but also rewarding moments. I have mostly been part of the freshwater planted aquarium hobby, but i have started to lean towards the salwater side of the hobby. I love the sea and everything in it, but i yet have to setup a saltwater tank. Research after research has finally made me decide what to setup. I love the look of nano aquariums and how they balance out to be an incredible piece of living art. The stocking would be a pistol shrimp and goby pair with the classic ocellaris clownfish pair. Corals would be a pulsing xenya, Elegance coral, and the beautiful rasta zoanthids.
Thank you Marine Depot for this wonderful oppurtunity.
