You can't "stunt" their growth because their organs will keep on growing if their body doesn't keep up, or they will stress out in the small tank and die.

There are two opinions. You can kind of stunt their growth, but if it gets too big, take it back to your LFS, and they’ll hook you up usually.

Daylight: 10am-8pm
BeautyMax: 9am-8pm
Blues: 9am-10pm

Just got a 32g bio cube what would you suggest doing with the media rack... IE putting live rock in it chaeto and what filtration are you using?

+Kammi jacob jr I would do a carbon Bag (Chemipure Elite), like 10 bio balls, and the stock filter.

Beautiful tank! Just a heads up on the tang, but make sure it's constantly got seaweed on a clip. And you may want to invest in a protein skimmer at some point because tangs poop a ton... Would never recommend the standard biocube protein skimmer. Tunze and IM are nice brands.

Just an fyi, that tang will get longer than that tank is wide so be prepared to find it a new home.

Nice clear water! What do you use to start the cycle and what are in your filtration now?

You really only need to do a 50% water change once a month. I've been doing it about every three weeks though until I get this algae figured out. I also had a parasite kill all of my fish a month ago, so now I did a 90% water change and can hopefully get this thing back up and running like it was in this video.

+TheMdinkle sounds like a great setup. I could have sworn I replied to this a couple of days ago, but what I did for filtration is super simple. I took out the bottom shelf and just dumped a bag of bioballs down there. The second shelf has activated carbon Bag, and the top shelf has the stock filter. The Algae seems to have stopped.

so i bought the intank media basket and a small led light. im doing filter floss on top then like a refugium with Chaetomorpha Algae in second and finally a Eshopps AEO19070 Square Foam Aquarium Filter on the bottom of the media basket. next to that im running a bulkreefsupply carbon gfo reactor mini. doesnt fit just the hoses and pump. then a small foam filter leading into chamber 3. complete overkill and dont even know if it will work. just experimenting.....putting some dry rock and water in this weekend so will see

+TheMdinkle I removed the bottom shelf, and poured in a bag of Coral Life bio balls. Then the second shelf up I have a bag of activated carbon that I'll swap out once every other month, and then the top shelf is the stock Biocube filter. It has really worked well for me. Tested my water a couple of days ago and it was perfect. No nitrates, no ammonia, no nothing.

+SuperMarioZombies they turn on when all of the lights come on, but when it's just blue or blue with the secondary whites, it stays off for the most part.
