Anyone with the finances available to buy and maintain a yacht like this one will have a hard choice to make, as the Sunseeker 86, the Princess 82 or its big brother the 88, the Azimut 84/88, the Monte Carlo 86, or the Riva 88 Florida to name just five are serious rivals. Be nice to have that kind of problem.

He said there are no closets in the main suite only lockers. Does he mean that there is no hanging space for clothes on a 4.3 million euro boat. Surely that can't be right??

Nice craft, I have always been a fan of em but the price doesn't coincide with this specific model, my opinion is its overpriced!

Looks like a very wet boat to me, both in the cockpit and at the bow. so much spray is being going all over the boat, look again in the running shots. very poor hull design.

ferretti knows how to design a hull- any spray is the result of wind , etc. not the design of the hull.

Every Ferretti yacht is beautifully built both inside and outside. The engine and propulsion systems are very good. I especially like the Ferretti 700. But bigger yachts need longer range, and the new Sunseeker 86 is boasting its long range capability of 1,500 nautical miles @ 10 knots. Thus, in my opinion Sunseeker 86 has an edge here in Asia Pacific where there are archipelagic countries.

There is one small detail that most yacht builders just left unatended but NOT in this case. The fact that TV SHOULD BE lowered. In most yachts the TV is high and this make stress to the neck while watching a long movie or game. This and the Sessa 68 are the only cases I know that TV is lowered. Not a big deal but...

Why oh why is there a large grey screen on the left of or to port at the lower helm position?? Surely a helmsman wants as much all round views as possible?????

Nice to chat with someone from this area, I love boat and ship design!

I don't question you, actually I believe, if I were to buy my own new boat I would want to personalise everything I can including TV positioning but people sometimes prioritize pratical or style over confort, some people don't even know about the TV height until they try it, I also see a lot of house designs with TV over fireplaces (damn too high).

And some clients would just tell to place anywhere because they will ptobably not spent a lot of time on the boat, soo the small amount of time they stay is dedicated to enjoy the boat, the scenic, the people the moment and not watch TV and they are not wrong at all :) I share this vision too. But if I had a boat I would probably spent most of my vacant time on it and since I love movies I would like to watch some on bad weather or at night.

I worked for Ferretti for many years. I have seen TVs built into the ceiling with a mechanism to lower them, TVs built into the front of a bar a small height above the ground, but the most popular of all as you rightly state is for them to lift and lower from a cabinet. Strangely enough clients preferences differ in this respect, and I have been involved with a number of projects where they spent a great deal of time deciding the exact angle and height that they want the television to be located at. To be truthful though most clients simply say "I don't come on my boat to watch the television...put it where you want".

Sorry I didn't understand you very well. The major trend is that TV is placed on a special cabinet behind sofa, this save space, allow for extra sofa and when not use you still have the ample window available for siteseeing or natural light, but when you need to use the TV it comes out of the cabinet being elevated to the watch position, this position is what I was talking about, it is unconfortable to watch. TVs should be set around 8 to 10 inches from the floor for confortable viewing but that also depends on size of course.

The TV is mounted on the floor by the looks of it...not up high at all. Also a pretty bad idea, maybe it goes up though. pretty much all builder and making hi/lo TVs and have been for some time now
