Do they make a fish and ski model with a flipping deck, trolling motor and a fish finder ? I'd want a built in beer cooler and a 8 trak for my Jimmy Buffet tapes . Can you mount a little grill on the back for burgers and dogs cause my wife will want to be eating the whole time were out . Oh yeah better make that two built in coolers cause the kids will want to bring along the Snoopy snow cone machine . Put a microwave oven in there while your at it so we can make some nachos . Oh hell just tell em we want the pontoon model Riva !

Poor design, because it doesn't even have a touch of the aquarama or the aquarama cockpit. Even the original gauges with blue scaling are missing. Instead an everage and shitty 21st Century Aluminum Design Cockpit is installed. Thanks to Feretti. You cannot buy Style when you always think global. Carlo Riva wouldn't do so if he were still young.... Shame on Feretti what they do to the riva brand!!

Can't even imagine the depreciation. Certainly beautiful to look at but it feels like you couldn't chill and relax for the day on it. Formal and high maintenance. Definitely for the "more money than brains" crowd.

"Design of incomparable beauty"? I strongly disagree with that very narrow minded observation. While I think the Italian boats are the most beautiful and well designed and most desirable of all (and I speak for myself especially when I say the most desirable) such as the Azimut and Ferretti line, but when it comes to wood boats and especially runabouts, sports and sportabouts and even yacht tenders, Hacker Craft and Chris Craft offer the finest mahogany boats from long standing American boat builders in those two traditions. So I would certainly, strongly disagree with that statement. I don't really find anything particularly exciting about this Riva with the exception of the anchor, really. Sorry.

GoMiGman Different boats for different people buddy. Let's say there's nothing special about this Riva compared to the american boats you mentioned but you gotta realise that A LOT of rich/sophisticated people will buy this MADE IN ITALY jewel over something produced by some fatso in US.
Most will pay extra for a handmade italian boat. It's called desirability buddy. You can get a +500bhp Mustang for under a 100k which is a fine car (on a straight and a track!) but someone with a lot of money will probably pay double or x3 for a Ferrari, Porsche or McLaren.
Bottom line..if you want value/$ go with american car/boat...if you value other things you'd usually go european.
You can have "champagne" from other countries..maybe even excellent one but once you reach a certain level you'd only get the french champagne.

As far as quality workmanship and beauty, they're all on the same level. Nothing makes these any more special (and certainly not from an incomparable beauty perspective) than the other. Fancier hardware and jigiligy bling if that's what your into, which sounds that way, then go for it. What's so beautiful about a Rolls Royce anyway, when you stop for a minute and think about it? Luxury? That's beauty? lol

@GoMiGman Riva's are considered to be the Rolls Royce of power boats, and with a comparible price tag to match, as for those two American manufactures, I "strongly disagree with that very narrow minded observation" the two Swiss mahogany boat builders Boesch, and Pedrazzini are their equal. But all five manufacturers make beautiful hand crafted runabout boats.
