how stable is it on water and how is the back they say 1436 topper back is weak and I like see pics of under plywood too see how to do myself nice set up

its pretty stable. Remember it is a 1542 jon boat and not a 1648. I have never extremely unstable. I would never suggest having a deck above the height of the seat.

Wow 5k? The boat was a year old model that I got around 1.2k . The motor was around 300 and 250 for the trailer. If you spend time looking and some time working on things you can be on the water for well under 5k.

nice boat.. i been thinking of getting one but it was a 18 but i dont think it will handle the ohio river with the big BARGE boats they can get the water going good when they got a load so im thinking grizzy 16ft

I really like the grizzly boats. I would definantly suggest getting a 48 width with a mod v for that large of a river.

I can take some and email them too you. It is a very simple build. You will need to cut and test fit a lot. I used a few large piece of cardboard to help with the taper. Email is Redgateoutfitters@gmail.com
