Nice review. I’m looking into buying a bass tracker 175 too so just wanted to see what’s your though on how stable this boat is? Because I heard that aluminum is not as stable as fiberglass. Thanks.

I have the same boat and the same issue with the drain area on my 2015 model. Can you tell me exactly how you fixed it? How long you cut the board and how exactly you got it in there... etc etc. Thanks.

The issue with the rod box not locking, is a very easy fix. Just rotate the entire mechanism for desired reach, then use an Allen wrench and crecent wrench to adjust the latch position and desired tension.
Locked up tight!

I just bought this same boat last week, and the locks were exactly how you mentioned.

Had the same boat it sucks... leaks bought 2 to 3 gallons every time out... took it shop they can't find leak, got frustrated sold it n bought me a hobie pro angler , couldn't be more happier

we bought a pro team 175 txw brand new 2016 , it leaks about 3/4 gal. of water every time we take it out, the marina we bought it from has had it in repair and still can not find the problem, they contacted tracker and told them what it is doing and that that is not normal, I understand you will get a little water in the boat but not all that much when you pull the plug. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TRACKER BOATS TO ANY ONE, THEY DO NOT STAND BE HIND THEIR PRODUCTS, TRACKER SAYS THAT ALL THAT WATER IS NORMAL, NOT SO.

Your issue is probably water coming in the bilge discharge. Put an inline one way valve in your hose and I bet it stops.

first off let me just say I love the review, but if you wanted a stronger more flawless boat you should have went with a 19ft fiberglass boat, you have to keep in the back of your mind this is an aluminum boat at around 16k, again trying not to beef, just got to remember " you get what you pay for"

Absolutely... I didn't expect a ranger.. Just want the floor to not give way when stepping up to the rear deck. I looked at the 2016 recently and the locks are different and the floor seems to be reinforced. Thanks.

You should have bought a triton or crestliner all aluminum, bass tracker unfortunately are pieces of junk and you could have gotten one for the same price, more storage better quality and 92 inch beam with 64" floor widith.

I purchased a 2015 TXW, and I think they added support at the cup holders. I removed the drain cover and their is a vertical aluminum tube welded to a horizontal aluminum channel between the drain and the seats. Was wondering if the 2014 had this and is this the fix for the floor issue at the cup holders.

Thanks for the response. The floor around the cup holders does seem pretty solid.They also change the locks on the two storage compartments. Its good to see Tracker trying to improve on their product based on your video's.

My Nitro Z-6 delaminated from the wood in the exact spot you're talking about. Seems to be a common issue.

Nice review, two yrs ago i was shopping for a new boat..and i look into the tracker at the bass Proshop and wait for the sales department to call me back on a price agreement but..they never call me back.. So i end up buying a G3 Boat instead..i think that every boat has it like and dislike. anyway good luck with your tracker and tight lines

I am looking at a 190 tx. But I have heard wind and an aluminum boat is no good. Does it stay pretty steady I'm the water?

The TX and TXW and TF all use the revolution hull, which is much better and smoother than any other mod v style aluminum hull because it has a variable degree deadrise. The box V will keep it steady in wind, unlike competitors who use a jon boat hull.

I am preparing to buy a Pro Team TXW,is there a difference between a 2014 and 2015?,also how did you get a blue one?The brochure only shows Black and Red?And last I can get a 75hp 2 stroke for just a couple of hundred dollars more is it worth it?,,By the way nice video,I am going to see if I can have them install a stronger trolling motor.

@david dansky I would go with a Nitro z6 or z7 if you can afford it, The quality is a million times better way more storage and the ride is way better. The tracker ride really sucks, its slow doesn't turn and takes forever to plain.

Far from it. The issues I presented were addressed in the feedback I got from Tracker Marine themselves (Watch the update video) and apparently have been addressed. I still fish the boat weekly and haven't had any issues. For what it is and what it costs, its a good value. I haven't been disappointed with it.

Sweet boat! I got the 2013. I really wished they would have done the same paint job as the 2014 on the 2013. Other than that I prefer the extra storage on my boat than a extra livewell.Cool vid

I just purchased a 2016 couldn't be happier rides smooth mabe it just me mine plans guck enough for me me my wife and I are over 200lbs.mine tops out at 39mph play with trim 40mph also another thing I like built in battery charger .

I just went out and check the locks,on my new 175. The latches do not budge. I mean I could put serious force behind it and break it open but otherwise it's working great. I would let the dealership replace them, something is not right with them.

The tracker in this video is only rated up to like a 75. To get a 250 on a boat your gonna have to get a much bigger boat, like a 20 footer minimum. And most likely fiberglass.

So all I did was pop a cup holder out, measure from the thick aluminum beam to the bottom of the wood flooring, and cut a 2x4 to basically wedge between the two and support the floor. Then just put two screws in the top and called it a day. Total time spent was 10 mins and its been fine for 5 months with no issues, dont even know its there.

The Ranger RT188 I just bought is 100% aluminum on all decks, floors, and lids. There is no wood period in the boat, it is foam filled from bow to stern just like the fiberglass models, there is fiberglass consoles, mine is dual, loving it so far only small gripe is no built in cooler but they give you a igloo that fits in the ample storage. I looked at the 190 TX but have never been a Mercury guy, not being negative to the Merc's just have always owned Evinrudes in the past. Need to check my locks they look like the ones installed on your boat. Lifes short...just fish!

Yea, I was pretty impressed overall with the ranger package as well but very happy with my purchase regardless of the few shortcomings I have found.

Looks like if you have an open drink (can of beer) in the cup holders by driver seat on the floor it will splash into the speakers leading to early failure

Those are not speakers, its dry storage. What looks like speaker grills are water proof covers.

Good review! I definatly would have at least doubled up the plywood around the vent and cup holders. I put two 5” round screw type hatches on my 1448 aluminum boat with a ½” marine plywood floor and doubled up the plywood there. Glued together. People have commented how solid my floor is. I thought about buying a 175 TXW with the 75 hp merc but I really hate the livewell and the baitwell insert on the one side. Otherwise I like the boat and it would have suited me well. I ended up buying a 2007 nitro 482 with 135 hp Merc instead last year.

The latches are cheap Perko imitations. I know it sucks to have to do that on a new boat, but you can buy some good actual Perkos for about $25 each and bolt them right in.
