I got the HS Love Buzz on a whim at sale price a while back and really love that board so was excited to see this model come out but honestly wouldnt pay the money for this...is quite ridiculous. Can't see many if anyone buying it for that reason.

I got one and i like it. It's fast and as said in the video, it didn't slide the tail like sci-fi did.. it easier my turns because it got a lot of speed and speed is the key for you improve your maneuvers. I really recomended it and i surf in a very bad beach break.. i'm 170lb and gone with 59.. today maybe i went with 58..cheers

If u surf PU's normally and u pick up pretty much any HS futureflex you will feel like you are surfing with cheat codes. its automatic. almost too easy, the paddling, the turning, the float

Agreed, and I didn't pay full price for my Grail either. I have some good hook ups, so no need to pay the ridiculous full price. And yes, the lineups are full of people that lack etiquette in the lineup. A board either works for you or it doesn't. For me, the Grail felt and responded amazingly. It's always great too if you can get with a local shaper and have them set you up with your custom dims. Take a look at what Firewire is doing now. They are adding big name surfers to sell their brand as well. Slater Gamma....Machado Go Fish......Tomo is a shaper that rips and his boards sell just on that merit. In reality, they all need to stay a step ahead in the marketing game to sell boards because, like you said, they are beyond expensive. By the way, where do you live and surf. I'm in San Diego. Life is good. Keep ripping brother!

I couldn't tell you why there's a bunch of animosity towards HS, part of it could be marketing, or the attachment you make to every kook with cash to blow that paddles out into your local lineup with one. Don't get me wrong I break out my Tomo Evo when i get bored of my typical shorty (I also picked the thing up used for 150). I'm sure if I tried the Holy Grail out I would like the way it felt... But knowing these expensive ass sticks don't make me a better surfer, I would rather support my local shaper or buy a board from a buddy.

Hey Clyde, just curious, but why is there alot of animosity towards HS? I'm assuming their marketing tactics turn a lot of people off? The guys in the review got roasted in the STAB forum. lol. I got a Holy Grail and it's one of the best boards I have used. You are right though, there is no magic board that will make you better. You either have the skill set needed to make the board work or you don't. On a side note, I do love my CI Fever just as much. The Fever is PU and I just wanted a different tech for the smaller days and the HG certainly fits the bill.

save your money. unless you're jordy or mick or etc this stick isn't going to push you to the next level, magically make you a better surfer, or magically allow you to fuckin rip. Its just a stick thats marketed to all hell. Sure the board works, but you won't reap the benefits.

One of the best boards I have ever owned. I have a CI Fever too and between those two I could surf just about anything! Seriously, check out an HG, you won't be disappointed.

Well, I'm 5'9 about 150lbs and I ride the 5'6 in the stock dims. Feels amazing. I would just say to make sure that you stay near your ideal volume. That is what makes or breaks the deal in my mind.
