Im sorry for the late response. The barbwire has a little better customer care being a larger company and they have replaced my nephews boat parts if anything went wrong. They are both nice boats, but I feel its what is better for your pocket and looks.

@Alex Smith The barbwire is a great little boat. The only issue I have experienced after driving it has been the stock steering servo tends to be a problem. The lid needs to be on securely and make sure you have a 3 cell lipo. Yes, its a nice inexpensive super quick boat.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I never used the charger that came with it. I only used the charger I use for my other RC's. My brother used the stock charger and it messed up the battery. Hope all goes well with charging.

Yes, the boat is definitely a blast and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a small scale boat with a brushless motor.

Handles bumps very well. They got the hull right. I had it jumping in some chop similar to a MHZ Gecko. The radio is pretty cheesy, but works fine. I thought the boat was a blast!

The boat does not flip over immediately everytime you punch the throttle. A trick I learned was that if it doesn't flip over the first time, wait for it to settle and then punch it again with the wheel turned to activate flip a little more effectively. Also be sure to use a 3 cell lipo. A 2 cell will not work. Hope this helps.

I ordered a 35amp hobbywing esc I have had good luck with their esc. They wanted me ship the old back for 4 dollars, I'm too busy at my job to deal with it! I never had it wide open long, my other boats have no problems with my driving habits. No big deal, i like the hobbywing escs!

Really? I have heard that a couple times. Venom is really good at sticking behind their product, so I am sure you will be able to get another for free. Also be sure not to hold on the gas for 5 minutes straight. That could be a reason the ESC burns up or the motor. Its there first product, so I am not surprise they are having a couple issues. Hi, sorry for the delay. I definitely recommend this boat. Its small fast and lots of fun. I recommend not using the stock charger and make sure the top clicks when you close it. I added other stuff because I wanted to have better component, you don't have to, but if you want. My videos explain it all. Thank you for watching and Have fun.
