@Noah Goldfarb You would want to ride a DD about 1-4" shorter than you and 1/2" wider than a standard shortboard. Paddling would be easy. I've never been to Florida, but in Orange County, it does well in knee high waves. It should hold up to about shoulder-high, but any bigger and the board would be too small. The DD is a great board to have around for those average days in small to medium surf. Hope this helps!

Hey man what skill level would you say you are? Also what type of conditions do you normally ride...? I'm same size of you and i mainly ride waist high mushy waves, i'm looking at getting 6'0 dumpster diver and i think it might be just the right size based on what you were saying..Thanks for the info!

I'm 6'1 and 175lb. My surfing level is intermediate (a few tricks and do not I put a lot of pressure). What is the ideal size?

I'm looking at the CI Neck Beard, and The Dumpster Diver. Which one should I get?

ianster101, The Sub-Scorcher looks like the closest board to the Dumpster Diver, I have never had a Lost surfboard, they look awesome. I like boards with double concave through the tail, they have better drive. The Dumpster Diver has single concave through the tail and you have to stay on the rail to keep the board going, double concave boards you can ride a little flatter and they still go.

@noahgfarb yes, I agree, there are boards that are easier to paddle than the Dumpster Diver, it is a balance between paddling ease and maneuverability. I surfed a CI Motor Boat and the Motor Boat is easier to catch waves on than the Dumpster Diver and the Motor Boat flies through flat sections where the Dumpster Diver might bog.

@noahgfarb If you really want a board that you dont have to paddle a lot to catch waves look at the biscuit or fishcuit. Dumpster Diver would be harder or you could look at a Neckbeard. Its wider and flatter than the dumpster diver so i would be able to catch waves easier.

if i am 5'10 and 165-170 what size would i get and on a scale to 1-10 1 being easiest how easy would it be to catch a knee high florida wave with this board, like how much effort would i need to put into paddling.

Skate0lish, you can custom order these boards. I am 6 foot 185, I ordered a Dumpster Diver that was a 6'2" however, when the board got to the shop it was too long, so I went with the standard 6'0" model and it is perfect.

Wow. Stop saying the word small. It was like he was prepared to do a football commercial for miller lite and then they tossed him an Al Generic and he said small wave this and that I'm such a Larry!
