Channel Islands Fish Surfboard Review

Ian reviews the Channel Islands Fish Surfboard: https://www.boardshop.co.uk/brands/channel-islands?style=1988 Don’t be fooled by the new Channel Islands Fish surfboard's plan outline, this is no 'retro fish'. This exciting new model has been slimmed down and totally re-tuned for performance in a wide spectrum of waves...from knee high beach-breaks to head-high points and reefs. The CI performance Fish is a little bit special with some high performance features incorporated into an undeniably 'classic' outline. This little Fish is designed and equipped to rip but will happily cruise the high-line with a neutral stance and heaps of relaxed style. The Channel Islands Fish works at its optimum with Futures keel fins and more specifically with the new Futures AMK template. Surf Therapist and CI pilot Alex Gray took a 9'0 and a 5'5 CI Fish on a recent trip to Puerto Escondido and when the surf went "flat" the Fish came into its own; "Don't think I stopped smiling on each wave. I've really never rode a fish, have a lot to learn, but there were a couple of moments where everything clicked. I think its the fastest I've gone on a gutless wave. Too fun. Looking forward riding it on a point break in the near future". This is going to be a great little summer board to exploit the generally smaller and weaker conditions we experience here in Northern Europe. Sized generously it'll serve an intermediate but under experienced feet it absolutely lights up in anything up to and over head high. Don’t forget, if the stock dims don't work for you, you can order a customised version selecting your exact dims, fin set up and fin system, check out our customizer service at Boardshop right now. All you need to do is punch in the details and pay a £100 deposit with the balance due when we ship your board roughly 6-8 weeks later. As a premier Channel Islands stockist, we pride ourselves on giving what we think is good solid advice without any of the over-eager sales driven BS often encountered by our customers elsewhere.
