Picked this up a few weeks ago and have been out twice on it, love it! Have ridden it as a tri and quad with the nubster fifth fin, felt good either way and looking forward to ridding it as just a quad; definitely has some performance capabilities and good paddle. Both time out people inquired about what I was ridding because wave count was rather high and still was hitting the lip. 6'1" stock dims = 38.4 liters.

Yeah I have ridden as quad, results for me have been mixed, probably my issue not the board, as I am a long time thruster rider...I am sure in the right waves I would be more dialed in with the quad set up, and not sure I agree with this review, I have found this board to have really good drive and can perform when pushed...the only thing I would do differently is get this in Gun glassing vs. the standard glassing.

Have you surfed this as a quad yet? I'm riding it as a thruster and it's performing pretty damn good, be curious to see how you're getting on riding it as a quad however as i feel it may work a bit better in the weaker stuff.

The longest stock DIMS for the Hoglet is 6'3" which is 35 liters which should be good if you if are ready to move to a more performance board, based on your weight you could go smaller, but good float/good paddle is always helpful. If you are going into the 7'0" range that look to put you into the Wave Hog, which looks sweet as well, might not be as "drivey" but wave count would be increased.
