I rode two different Rocket 9's and one Twin Fin and all three were very lively and solid on the rail. The Fusion Dual Core concept incorporates an EPS (Expanded Polystyrene Foam)Core and PU (Polyurethane) foam inserts on the rails to marry the two most popular surfboard constructions together. Both EPS and PU foams have their pros and cons and Channel Islands teamed up with Surftech to make this concept a reality. I truly enjoyed this review and the theory behind these boards is very functional. All three boards felt solid on the rail with great control and consistency in my turns. The EPS core had great spring in and out of turns and the flotation was good too.
The PU rails smooth at the ride pretty good but still not as smooth as a PU board... but close.

I really like both techs... the Flexbar and Fusion Dual Core feel great. The FDC seems to be more durable and both have great flex characteristics.
