Are there any other fin that you would recommend from those you have in the shop? Maybe a longer one but with less base and more rake? I'm about 181 and I would ride a 7'2

Hey Mario, depending on your weight and how hard you push through turns you would want a 7"-7.5" Surfers up to 180 generally have the best results on a 7" unless they push really hard and like extra drive, then the 7.5" is the way to go for more aggressive surfers in the 165-180 range.

Thanks! I get it. I think the C-bucket seems like a good board for me, thinking for winter especially. I really dont like the newer super short gear these days. Feels like the nose is missing on those boards! haha. I will stop down in November, on my annual HATT trip, and take a look around.

Hey Matt, Thanks for writing in. The Shorter C-Buckets are a similar width as the longer C-buckets and they definitely handle late drops better. The rocker line is similar but the shorter board fits into a steep pocket and will be more forgiving than a longer C-Bucket. Where you win on the long C-Buckets is glide speed, rather than trying to take off in a critical section, a longer board allows you to glide in early and set your line before the wave throws. Christenson surfboards use a PU/Poly construction and most feature volan reinforcement on the deck. Their construction is some of the best in the world but with that said, they are still surfboards and need to be handled carefully.
