If you can wait and don't need the boat now, I'd suggest you monitor the price and jump on it when it goes below $400.00 This is a great boat for $350, but I don't know that I would buy it at $500.00 Some thoughts: I assembled at home and then broke it down and loaded it into the back of my truck to see how quickly it could be put together. I normally hate putting things together as there is usually one piece that doesn't quite fit right. No issues with this whatsoever for this boat. The only actual "assembly" is strapping the frame onto the bladders, then it's just putting the pieces together as shown in the video. Could you fit this in a car truck? Absolutely. When shown unpacking it from the truck it would easily fit in a car if you don't mind blowing it up on site. Also seen in the video is one modification that was HIGHLY suggested. Instead of using the stripping basket that comes stock, I purchased pet screen. This was zip tied to a 48" bungee cord that is connected to the two D rings at the front of the boat. In retrospect, I'll be swapping out the 48" cord for a 36" because it is a bit too long. If you plan on fly fishing out of the Colorado XT pontoon boat then I'd suggest this modification. The line can and will tangle on everything and by adding the pet screen to lay across your lap (I tucked the other end underneath me and sat on it) you can alleviate a lot of frustration and headaches. Super happy with the construction of this boat and plan on using it quite a bit
